Zeffsora One Piece AU ✨️
Zeff is known for his lethal kicks; Sora, for her marksmanship. She can kick just as well, but since they didn't want a girl in the middle of a fight, they gave her a weapon to compensate.
At first, Sora and Zeff hated each other, not in the vein of a Zosan style rivalry, but rather a hatred where one would hand the other over to the Marines at the slightest opportunity.
Everyone at Cooking George finds it hilarious to watch them fight over who is the head chef; officially, it’s Zeff since he’s the captain, but unofficially, Sora is far too terrifying when wielding a kitchen knife.
At first, they had to share Zeff's room; the bed clearly belonged to Sora, who kindly gave him a pillow so he could sleep on the floor. The "one-bed" trope doesn't work when the two people met less than two hours ago and death threats were involved.

Don Krieg fight is overall kinda boring and overly drawn out for a character who really isn't that interesting, HOWEVER I do love what it establishes about Luffy so early in the story. Of course there's the consistent pattern that he fights for his friends, for the weak and oppressed, and against heartless tyrants. Watching Luffy do that never gets old. But the way the fight goes down also reveals some of Luffy's specific brand of crazy: he's completely unbothered by pain. He views it as nothing but a temporary obstacle, and sometimes even a totally acceptable path to victory. It doesn't make him stop and rethink things, and that drives powerful people CRAZY.
Don Krieg shoots harpoon-like bullets into him, and Luffy just pulls them out and fights him bleeding. Don Krieg shields himself with a cape made of spikes, and Luffy just punches it anyway even though they pierce his knuckles. As Zeff points out, he has no fear of death. But even more than that, Luffy refuses to be told he can't.
Every villain and tyrant in the story tells him some version of "it's impossible, you can't do this without destroying yourself, you'll never survive, this is just the way things are," and Luffy comes back every time unafraid to destroy himself, determined to survive anyway, and absolutely unwilling to accept that things have to stay bad. The villains always bet on some sense of self-preservation kicking in, but Luffy doesn't have that the way other people do. He outsources his self-preservation to his friends, and fights for them with reckless abandon, and people in power cannot fathom that kind of communal trust. He will never do things the way they think, and that's why he'll always win in the end.

⭒ SANJI'S DEPARTURE ⭒
Kinda wish Sanji went a little feral in the live action. He was making enemies on the regular at the Baratie
Sanji vs. Land
One of my favorite Sanji headcanon's is that he has the best sea legs of the crew, tied w/ Jimbei after he joins. But he also absolutely has the WORST land legs when they make landfall.
I think this because, prior to Kamabakka, the longest period he spent on actual land seems to be starving on a rock with Zeff.
I totally buy that Germa likely had some sort of stabilizing tech on their snails, definitely in medical and engineering areas. You need a measure of stability in your evil laboratory.
But any ocean-going vessel does need to actually move with the sea. Otherwise, it won't move at all. So, I think other areas were less stabilized.
Thus, Sanji went from weird snails that swim the seas, to cruise ship, to trauma rock, to a restaurant ship before joining the Straw Hats. Moving on a ship likely feels more natural to him than on land.
I think he has trained himself to adjust pretty quickly, as a necessity, and also because the Mosshead definitely would call it out. But even still, his first few steps on any island are not as graceful as his usual stride.
Okay, ramble done.
