I'm trying to give myself plenty time see if I can't get a least a couple of drawings done in February, and thus I am coming up with ideas now!

But alas I am indecisive on which ships I want to do, lol.

“I’m ready”, shouted Chloé. Alya rolled her eyes. Why exactly was she waiting for Chloé to emerge from her own house’s bathroom? Why had Marinette talked her into this? Why-?

Chloé stepped out, and Alya’s eyes almost popped out. The rich heiress was wearing a perfect Majestia costume. Blue bodysuit, red dress cover, red boots, with all the insignia.

“You better appreciate this”, said Chloé snottily. “I look amazing.”

“Err… what is this about?” Alya sceptically eyed the ensemble. It was quality work, all the details were correct. The only weird thing was that Chloé was wearing it, in her living room.

“I told you, duh. I owe Marinette a big favour. Like, more than usual.”

“And…?”

“And you’re her best friend, and you like Majestia. So, you get a cosplay photoshoot with the best Majestia in Paris, which is me. Get your camera or whatever.”

Alya facepalmed. Was that a Chloé idea or a Marinette idea? Did it matter? It was crazy either way. Yes, Marinette insisted that Chloé had learned some things about herself and was nicer now, and from what little Alya had seen, that might be true, but this didn’t mean she actually wanted to hang out with her.

“You know I know the real thing?”, she asked carefully.

“Yeah, but she’s like super-old”, said Chloé dismissively, and flexed her biceps. “I’m way prettier.”

She did a twirl, and struck a pose that was as much disco as hero, unconcerned by Alya’s lack of reaction. Which was just as well, because Alya was completely lost.

Under a thick layer of, “What the hell is this!?”, two separate but related thoughts slowly came to Alya’s mind. One was that she was really, really gay. And the other was that Chloé was really, really pretty. Especially as she kept twirling and flexing.

Neither of these thoughts were new to her on their own. She’d amicably broken up with Nino months ago. And Chloé was hard to miss at the best of times. But now, as Chloé let her surprising dancing muscles show, the two combined to hit her a like brick.

“You… you have the wrong hair”, said Alya. “Majestia has short hair.”

“Well, duh”, replied Chloé. “I said I’m hotter than the real thing, didn’t I?”

Alya tried her best to come up with some snarky comment, but everything stuck in her mouth. Because Chloé wasn’t actually wrong.

Alya had always had a crush on Majestia, the comics figure, even if it had taken her really long to figure that out. Powerful, beautiful, super-human. Seeing the real thing was a really neat bonus. But when Alya dreamed of being saved by Majestia and then being made her side-kick and then getting a kiss, it was the comics figure, not the stern woman more than twice her age, that ran through her mind.

Not that Chloé knew any of these things, of course. And Alya was not about to tell her.

“Fine”, she said, rolling her eyes. “I suppose that’s the only way I get you out of my apartment?”

“That’s the spirit”, said Chloé, and struck another pose, both of her arms raised like she was holding up a car. It looked… halfway decent, actually. Oh what the hell.

alya is queen. chloé is her advisor (think grand vizier). chloé frequently schemes and makes her scheming well known, by frequently carrying out coup attempts and holding loud treasonous conversations. not a single person in the court is unaware of chloé's scheming, and many have tried to warn queen alya of her faithless underling. alya never listens, and has in fact revoked a few nobles' titles for daring to slander her most trusted servant. as a result, the warnings have ceased, and most people are now just waiting for the day that alya dies so that one of her younger (and presumed wiser) sisters can take over.

alya in fact has a reason for not punishing chloé. she's well aware of chloé's actions, because she asked chloé to do it. you see, if her court believes she is about to be killed, and that she is stupid, she won't have to deal with other people's assassination attempts. also, she will not have to deal with all the bloody kings and princes who come knocking to ask for her hand in marriage. she has no desire to marry a man, and while her method of avoiding it is perhaps a little unconventional, she finds that having her secret girlfriend loudly plan out coup attempts in the great hall and slipping fake poisons into her dinner works well enough. besides, it has put the absolute fear of god into a lot of folks who believe she must be immune to poison and extremely resilient to stab wounds. while she sometimes has to play up an injury or something else that's silly, she has at least kept prince xavier-yves from proposing to her for the umpteenth time. and in the nighttime, she and chloé meet in her bedroom and switch between being romantic and coming up with another stupid plan for chloé to attempt the next day, laughing the whole time.

(the only other person who knows this is happening is court physician marinette, because it helps to have a doctor who can help them pretend that the injuries and poisonings are real.)
