Xiaohou Lian always going to the Shen estate or Shen Jue's office because he was lonely and missed him was cute. They love each other so much.

Shen Jue reminding the Empress Dowager who she learned to scheme from was great. She really thought she had him backed into a corner and it came back to bite her so hard.

I'm so glad Chiyan is alive but I'm also incredibly sad for him. All he wants to do is find his brother but that little psycho girl and the garden is preventing him from doing so.

All the garden assassins trying to learn how to use the threads Xiaohou Lian left behind but failing to master more than 2 at a time really shows how skilled Xiaohou Lian became.

I'm still mad and heartbroken over Situ Jin's death. Chiyan not taking his head and telling him to go see his wife because he wishes he could have said goodbye to his brother about killed me.

I'm glad that Shen Jue got to see Xiaohou Lian go on a murder rampage. He needed to see that Xiaohou Lian is not just a cute little himbo and can get down to business when he needs to.

And good lord. Leaving the cliff hanger at the Garuda/Chiyan cornering Xiaohou Lian to start a death match made me so mad. I am wondering how that is going to turn out in the last volume. Chiyan is a much better swordsman. I wonder if he's going to defect once he finds out that "Shen Lian" is his brother. I don't think he will try to kill him since it wasn't Shixin that gave the order like how they talked back in book 2.
