#chissmas

At the end of 2021, I was very ill, and in February of 2022 was diagnosed with locally advanced (late stage 3/early stage 4 depending on the doc) colorectal cancer. Through the spring and summer, I underwent radiation and two rounds of chemotherapy, followed by major surgeries. I am in remission since the end of December 2022.

I did not have the energy or stamina to do Chissmas last year. I am not sure if I should do it this year.

I was inspired to try something new for Chissmas 2023. Thank you @contentment-of-cats for hosting this event! I'm excited to catch up on the other @merry-chissmas fics!

If anything, I consider the participation in Merry Chissmas by the very people you bullied and hounded to be an act of courage.

You couldn't beat them down, you could not control them, you could not scare them away from a backwater that until you showed up was considered to be one of the most wank free in SW fandom. YOU ruined a fun and happy fandom while I dealt with cancer. I came back to an absolute fucking shitstorm. You were the one, that when people blocked and reported anon hate that had an absolute meltdown.
