Staring up at the Northern Lights, I realized this was the universe’s way of saying, ‘Keep looking up'. © ❄️

Today is the day! I have spent the last month and a half coming up with a new collection on my shop and I went with Spring flowers! You can get these as prints and stickers on my shop over on Etsy! I am so happy with how they came out and it was a pleasure to capture their beauty in these paintings! I even learned a lot about flowers too! Scilla luciliae (Lucile’s glory-of-the-snow)

This little Spring flower is from the mountains of Turkey. After it flowers at this time of year, it becomes dormant. Technically this makes this species a ‘Spring ephemeral’, which refers to perennial plants that emerge quickly in the spring and die back to their underground parts after a short growth and reproduction phase. You always plant this bulb in the autumn.
