He bites back a gasp, not only at the pain, but at the fact that she’s making him bare his throat as her next words slide across his neck like a knife “Your time in the depths of the darkness broke you, didn’t it?”
“Fuck y—Ngh.” Childe shuts his eyes as Signora drags her tongue over his pulse.
“You think it’s made you stronger, but the truth is, it’s destroyed you.” She trails her mouth over to his ear to whisper, cruel and ruthless, sending a shiver down his spine. “And now I have the faintest suspicion that being ruined is the only thing for you that feels right.”
