quick question, what was the most ridiculous thing Rnd said when wake up from anesthesia, after their c sections?
Probably not the weirdest, but still a memorable one. Dazzle was able to keep himself quiet while waking up, but Razzle? The moment he came to and saw one of his babies on his chest, he slurred out "...is that an alien?" :P

Ooooo now I do wonder how the birth of Squirm’s first kiddo went
(edit: fixed an incomplete sentence)
Trigger warning; (NON-GRAPHIC) mentions of labor and birth, as well as a brief mention of nausea
Good question! Since I just created a fankid for Squirm (how did that happen?!), I imagine the birth of Squirm's first to go a little something like this...
I'll start off by saying that I adore the idea of the insect toons making a nest for themselves for when they go into labor, so Squirm would totally have a nesting room full of comfy pillows, blankets and even fairy lights hanging on the walls and the ceiling! (similar to his reading nook in Gardenview Museum) The nesting room itself also has some calming floral scents to help calm down and soothe the book worm toon during labor.
Poor Squirm woke up in the middle of the night (well, almost 4 AM but still) to labor pains, and he knew right away what was happening thanks to Brightney's teachings. Despite that, Squirm was still panicking from what was happening </3
Thankfully, Brightney and Astro (the dad of Squirm's first kiddo) were there to help Squirm to the nesting room and get him comfortable. The two also stayed with Squirm, comforting him when he was crying and feeling nauseous, and helping him breathe through the pain and discomfort... <3
Astro and Brightney helped comfort the little book worm toon more by holding his hands and giving him gentle massages when he needed it. I feel like he'd also benefit from holding/squeezing something to take his mind off from the pain, like his stress ball (or even one of those birth combs or some other tool).
Then, after six hours of grueling labor, when the morning sun was shining in the sky, Squirm gave birth to a little baby girl, who was a caterpillar just like him... but unlike Squirm, the baby has four arms instead of legs, just like her other papa Astro! The second the baby is born, Squirm scoops her up and cuddles her close to him <3
Alternatively, Squirm lays a large egg, which has beautiful star/galaxy patterns. After some time, the egg hatches, and out comes the baby girl!
Whichever scenario happens, it always ends with Squirm crying... yet this time, they are tears of pure joy and happiness <3
Oh, and I imagine Squirm's nesting room to look like this...
Yes, I know there's a book in this picture. No, Squirm didn't eat it :P
ooouuu wait give us one example of those unplanned births
Well, one example was Teagan, who was planning to give birth to one of her kids at the birthing centre...
...but as it turns out, the baby boy was coming VERY fast, and Teagan knew that she wasn't going to make it to the birthing centre in time.
The baby boy ended up being delivered in one of the nesting rooms by a very shocked and anxious Looey, who was on the phone to one of the midwives the whole time ^^;
if you don’t mind, I do wonder about the full picture of Rnd first birth. If that’s okay with you.
Trigger warning; (NON-GRAPHIC) mentions of labor and birth, as well as several mentions of birth trauma and surgical procedures
Hoo boy... well, you and the other visitors to this blog had better buckle up, because this is gonna be one hell of a rollercoaster ride...
Razzle and Dazzle went into labor in the middle of the day while finishing their baby twins' nursery, two weeks before their due date. Although the twin masks were excited to meet their little ones, they were still shocked and worried, since labor had started pretty early...
Regardless, the two were still able to alert the other toons, who helped get all the baby bags packed. After that, Razzle and Dazzle were taken and checked into the birthing centre, then they got settled into their own suite, where the two began waiting for the arrival of their babies (alongside Dyle, the baby twins' dad).
It should've been a rewarding experience for the twins, given that it would be the birth of their first children... except it wasn't.
Since RnD's pregnancy was high risk (a twin pregnancy carried by conjoined twins), the midwives had to hook the two up to several machines so they could monitor contractions and the babies' heart rates, as well as the heart rate and blood pressure of the baby twins' dads.
Now I'm just gonna say that there's absolutely no issue with choosing to go through labor like this, especially if it's a high risk birth... but even then, it should still be comfortable and reassuring for the birthing parent. This is what Razzle and Dazzle should have experienced...
...yet within the first hour of birth, things started to go wrong quickly.
Since RnD had gone into labor incredibly early, they were both extremely stressed. Razzle, who was usually excited when it came to the toons' baby births, was even more stressed to the point of panicking... and it didn't help that his pain tolerance was worse than his brother's...
The two did get an epidural, but it only worked for an hour and a half before it wore off, and the twin masks were in pain once again. They also weren't progressing through labor like the midwives had hoped for, which only made the two even more stressed...
And then something happened.
One of the baby twins went into distress. The midwives couldn't find the heartbeat. They needed to do an emergency c-section ASAP.
The rest of the birthing process was a blur. All Razzle and Dazzle remember was being administered anesthesia and numbing medication. Yet both of them still remember one thing: their worries about whether their babies would be okay...
The good news is that the emergency c-section was a success, and both babies - Apollo and Artemis - were born alive, and Apollo had no physical issues whatsoever.
The bad news is that Artemis was in a worse state. Her legs were malformed and bent in weird positions, and she was screaming loudly, like she was in so much pain </3
When Razzle and Dazzle finally regained some awareness, they noticed that Dyle was with them in the room, holding little Apollo... but Artemis was nowhere to be seen. It wasn't until one of the midwives stepped in with a sorrowful look and explained what happened.
Needless to say, many tears of heartbreak were shared that night, not a single ounce of joy in sight... </3
This is what RnD's birthing suite looked like, the same one where the two spent ten hours of stress and agony before their c-section...
For a while, that room brought nothing but traumatic memories to Razzle and Dazzle. The two would have constant nightmares about their baby twins' birth and this room. Hell, RnD couldn't even go past this room without flinching and getting flashbacks </3
The two ended up needing counselling, as well as love and support from their partners, to help them get through and make sense of the trauma they faced. Thankfully, Razzle and Dazzle made a steady recovery as the months passed, yet fragments of their traumatic first birth still (sadly) lingered for a long time.
Which toon screamed and made the most noises during labor and which was almost silent during labor?
Trigger warning: mentions of labor and birth
For a while, Looey, Yatta and Blot thought they were the loudest (and they were!)... until the day Squirm gave birth, and the trio mutually agreed that Squirm won the game of "Who can scream the loudest during childbirth?" ^^;
In contrast, I can name a few toons who were quiet during labor! Cocoa, Eclipse, Flutter... but the quietest of them all was Astro, who was able to keep calm even with the contractions and discomforts. He even took a few naps of his own accord a few times!

Looey was really REALLY lost in his thoughts. He only came back to reality when he heard his baby cry
I do also want to hear YOUR headcanons abt looey’s first birth to get the full picture
Trigger warning; (NON-GRAPHIC) mentions of labor and birth, as well as several mentions of vomiting, fainting and trauma
Oh, anon... I wish I could say that Looey's first birth experience was a breeze... but that (partially) wasn't the case.
Looey woke up early in the morning (almost 6AM) to painful contractions, and he knew right away that he had gone into labor. Blot and Yatta were also with him around the time and knew what to do right away (pssst, this is important for later!), so after alerting the other toons, they gathered the bags they needed for the trip to the birthing centre.
Thankfully, the toons made it to the birthing centre in time, and after getting checked in, Looey was taken into a birthing suite, with Razzle and Dazzle (the dads of Looey's baby; the two were also pregnant at the time), Yatta (who was four days postpartum) and Blot following behind, ready to meet the little one after waiting so long!
...the first hour of labor was anything but exciting. Looey was in so much stress and pain, he was crying heavily. He passed out within just ten minutes after getting settled into the suite, then woke up a minute later to labor pains. Looey even started throwing up because the pain (to him) was that bad...
He threw up a total of five times. The second time it happened, Looey passed out for a minute again afterwards, and the fourth time around, the midwife had to escort Yatta and Blot out of the room temporarily to clean up since Looey had accidentally puked on the floor (Razzle and Dazzle could stay since, again, they were the dads of the baby).
Looey knew that he could not have epidurals or get a c-section since they involve sharp objects, but after he puked for the fifth time, he pleaded for a way to make the pain stop and to see Yatta and Blot again... shortly before passing out for the third time...
When Looey came to again, something happened... but in a good way.
Yes, he had woken up to the pain, but he also found himself with his head in someone's lap. Looey glanced up... and saw that it was Yatta. She was back in the room, and so was Blot. The midwife was kind enough to let them back in the room after cleaning the room a bit.
Looey immediately cried upon seeing his partners in the room, saying "I can't do this, it hurts, it hurts...!"... and Yatta, who immediately understood her balloon partner's pain, gently shushed him and comforted him, telling him he was strong, that he was going to be an amazing dad. Yatta hardly ever shows her softer, less hyper side, so this surprised Looey a little.
Blot and RnD also offered words of comfort to Looey, telling him that he was going to be okay, and that he would meet his baby soon... with Blot being just as understanding given that he was the first of the Circus Trio to have a baby. Razzle even lightened the mood by telling a small joke, which made the balloon toon chuckle, albeit weakly, since he wanted to hear something funny at the time x3
At that point, Looey realised that, even though he was in a lot of pain, he was still going to push through it for the sake of himself and his baby... and as long as his partners were there for him, he well and truly was going to be okay ♡
Looey's labor was surprisingly short, yet the next hour and a half was a lot better, more blissful even, than the hour before. He spent the rest of that time just lying on some pillows with his head still on Yatta's lap, taking slow and deep breaths as she played with his ears. Blot would also crouch down beside Looey, holding his hand and rubbing his back to comfort him ♡
Of course, Looey would sometimes move to his hands and knees and just rock side to side, and he'd even use the birth ball to help him out. He also sat on the birth ball once, and Razzle and Dazzle gave him a small shoulder and back massage, which the balloon toon appreciated ♡
While Looey was exhausted, sweaty and still a little nauseous from labor, it was able to be managed with a wet cloth on his forehead and even lots of drinking water from a bottle, which was especially important since Looey had been puking a lot.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, Looey DID get the pain relief he was promised... in the form of a gas and air tank the midwife brought into the suite x3 Though the gas and air didn't make the pain go away completely, it still made labor a lot more bearable for Looey, if not a little lightheaded ^^ Buuuuut thanks to this, he was able to take two short naps to save energy, which all went well... until he'd be woken up by contractions, that is ^^;
Oh, oh! And before I forget... shortly after Looey woke up from his third fainting episode, the lights in the birthing suite were dimmed, and some soothing music was played so the balloon toon could be more comfortable.
Finally, after only THREE hours of agony and bliss, Looey delivered his beautiful 9-pound baby girl on a birthing stool, just as the morning sun's rays were peeking through the blinds... yet for a few moments, the balloon toon was hesitant to hold his baby, since not only was he shaken from the pain and trauma of the birth, but also because some of the girl's body parts were made from balloons. Just the mere thought of dropping her terrified him...
However, after some gentle words of reassurance from Yatta, Blot and RnD, Looey eventually held his baby girl... and the moment he saw her little face and heard her squeaky balloon cry, he immediately burst into tears. He could finally cuddle and care for her after so, so, so, so, SO long!
It was also at that moment that he knew, deep down, that he was going to be okay. Looey planted a soft kiss on his baby's forehead, and told him that no matter what, he'll always love her ♡ Oh, and that she was worth all the pain he went through x3
Oh, and Looey's birthing suite also looked something like this...
Overall, the birth of Looey's first baby was as traumatic as it was beautiful. Although he genuinely loved raising his baby girl and bonding with her, Looey still needed counselling since the traumatic parts of his baby's birth caused him to have more frequent anxiety episodes.
Thankfully, his many partners were there to support him through and through, because in the polycule, nobody - and I mean nobody - gets left behind or forgotten ♡
ANON, I'M SO SO SORRY THESE TOOK A WHILE TO FINISH! I WAS VERY BUSY WITH LIFE AND DEALING WITH A LACK OF MOTIVATION (AND I GOT DISTRACTED BY DISNEY MOVIES LOL)
BUT YOU WON'T BELIEVE HOW HAPPY I WAS WHEN I SAW THIS REQUEST! I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DO MORE LOOEY CONTENT AND BERF HEADCANONS FOR A WHILE! THANK YOU SO, SO, SO, SO MUCH :,D /GEN /POSITIVE
Anyway, I'll stop my excited yelling for now and show you all these berf headcanons I've been preparing for over a week now! Enjoy your rich slow-cooked meal, my children :3
Oh and yes, there's mentions of Polycircus/Polytroupe in these headcanons, because I'm a self-indulgent sucker for them hehe x3

🎈𓍯𓂃 Looey Birth Headcanons 🎈𓍯𓂃
🎈𓍯𓂃 Oh… poor, poor Looey… it’s safe to say that whenever the balloon toon goes into labor, he’s already VERY anxious, stressed out and in so, so much pain and discomfort…
🎈𓍯𓂃 As I've said many times before, Looey has the worst pain tolerance out of all the childbearing toons, so he feels labor pains to a pretty extreme amount 😣
🎈𓍯𓂃 Luckily, he gets a WHOLE lot of comfort from the other toons (especially by Yatta and Blot!) as they drive to the birthing centre to get Looey checked in and ready for the baby’s birth 💕
🎈𓍯𓂃 …but even after getting checked in and settled into the birthing suite, Looey is still stressed out, scared and in so much pain. In fact, the labor pains for him are SO bad, that he starts sobbing and crying within the first few minutes 💔
🎈𓍯𓂃 And every single time Looey is in labor, he will always end up vomiting 😢 The worst was when the balloon toon was in labor with his first, where he threw up a total of FIVE TIMES (I wish I was joking...)
🎈𓍯𓂃 Yet all that anxiety and fear never lasts long… because Yatta and Blot are always by his side. They comfort him, tell him that everything will be okay and how strong he is, gently wiping away tears and holding his hands, just… supporting their beloved through this time in his life ❤️🩹
🎈𓍯𓂃 And what’s even better about all this? In my AU, Blot and Yatta had been pregnant and given birth to their firsts before Looey had his, so not only were the two comforting towards the balloon toon, but they completely understood what he was going through 💕 (if that’s not love and devotion, then I don’t know what is!)
🎈𓍯𓂃 Looey calms down the moment he hears those words of comfort and reassurance from his partners, and although he still occasionally whimpers from the pain, he does his absolute best to relax and stay calm for the sake of himself and his baby 💕
🎈𓍯𓂃 Looey gets overwhelmed VERY easily whenever he’s in labor, so brights lights in his birthing suite are an absolute no-go for him. He prefers laboring in near total darkness, but just bright enough for the midwife to see.
🎈𓍯𓂃 Again, the room is not completely dark, since Looey will have the galaxy lights on, as well as some fairy lights here and there. He also enjoys having candles in the room, but will only go for the fake LED candles… for obvious reasons.
🎈𓍯𓂃 He also loves having soothing music played in his birthing suite - it really helps put the balloon doggo’s mind at ease!
🎈𓍯𓂃 Now for those of you who may ask: “if Looey has such a terrible pain tolerance and can't go through labor easily, can’t he just get an epidural or a c-section?”… tell me, would you really consider subjecting a BALLOON toon to anything that involves needles or scalpels? ...yeah, that's what I thought. /nm
🎈𓍯𓂃 But even with the inability to get epidurals, Looey still seeks out other pain relief methods, and the ones he’s tried out help him to an extent ^^
🎈𓍯𓂃 The balloon toon absolutely suffers from the dreaded "back labor"… but don’t worry, a nice gentle back rub will always help ^^ Looey also benefits from cold therapy, so an ice pack on his back will help him feel relief! :3
🎈𓍯𓂃 If any of you have read my pregnancy headcanons for Looey, you might remember that he uses the shower to cool off and give himself body massages. Looey will also do the same for his back when he’s in labor… with cold water, obviously :P
🎈𓍯𓂃 Speaking of cold water and all that stuff, Looey becomes hot and sweaty very easily during labor, which makes the poor balloon doggo more uncomfortable than he already is 😞 Thankfully, he starts feeling some relief once a nice wet cloth is placed on his forehead 😌
🎈𓍯𓂃 On one occasion, Looey also had the air conditioner on full blast… but he never did it again because while it made him feel relief, it certainly wasn’t pleasant to the others in the room 😅 Thankfully, the birthing centre has those handheld paper fans Looey uses as a substitute ^^
🎈𓍯𓂃 Oh, and Looey gets thirsty pretty quickly thanks to how hot he becomes. Luckily, he always has a water bottle or even a paper cup filled with water on hand ^^
🎈𓍯𓂃 Looey's tendency to become hot and sweaty during labor is also the reason why he would rather wear loose-fitting comfy clothes or even just a tank top and shorts so he doesn’t overheat.
🎈𓍯𓂃 Poor Looey can’t stop shaking when he’s in labor. The combination of nerves and stress sends his body into overdrive to the point that he can’t properly hold a cup/water bottle 💔
🎈𓍯𓂃 Thankfully, his partners are there to comfort him and help him when he's shaking like a leaf, even going as far as helping him drink if he can't hold a cup/bottle 💕
🎈𓍯𓂃 Oh, and another thing! Looey likes having his ears (gently) played with, since he finds it a good distraction from all the labor pains ^^ As long as his partner doesn’t grip his ears too tightly, the balloon toon enjoys the little ear-playing thing 💕
🎈𓍯𓂃 Towards the latter half of labor, Looey will try and take a few naps to save energy for the baby’s arrival... though those naps usually only last for a few minutes before he is woken up by a contraction 😅
🎈𓍯𓂃 Then again, at least it’s better than when Looey was in labor with his first baby, where he ended up passing out more than once thanks to how bad the pain was… 💔
🎈𓍯𓂃 Oh! Oh, oh, oh! Here’s another first for all of you: the use of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for temporary pain relief, which is quite common in some hospitals and birthing centres ^^
🎈𓍯𓂃 Oddly enough, many of the toons were not too keen on the use of nitrous during labor… except for Looey, who ends up using AND getting the benefits from it! (this is totally not a reference to him being a clown balloon doggo huehuehuehuehuehue- :3)
🎈𓍯𓂃 Though the nitrous doesn’t make the balloon doggo laugh, it still makes him feel very relieved and calm, if not a little lightheaded x3
🎈𓍯𓂃 And another thing: Looey takes advantage of some of the equipment in his birthing suite, like the classic birth ball, one of those peanut balls, and even a birthing mat! (which is much more comfortable to kneel/lie on compared to a cold linoleum floor :P)
🎈𓍯𓂃 Some of the other toons (especially Yatta) even bring lots of fluffy pillows from their home so Looey can lie down or snuggle against them for comfort 💕 He does this the most when he’s lying on the birthing mat or on the bed ^^
🎈𓍯𓂃 Finally, once Looey is ready to welcome his little balloon into the world, he will sit on one of those birth stools so his partner(s) can see the baby coming out 🥺 (and maybe even catch the baby, too! 💕)
🎈𓍯𓂃 …but if he’s too tired to sit up, he will simply lay on his side on the birthing mat, his back against all those fluffy pillows, before bringing his beautiful baby into the world 🥺💕
🎈𓍯𓂃 And once the little baby balloon arrives and Looey holds them for the first time, he immediately bursts into tears, relieved and overjoyed that he was finally able to meet his little one after so, so long 💕💕💕
🎈𓍯𓂃 Overall, Looey’s childbirth experiences are often difficult… and sometimes borderline traumatic. Yet what matters is that our beloved balloon toon is able to pull through thanks to his partners’ help and love for him and his baby 💕
🎈𓍯𓂃 Plus, Looey knows that the pain is always worth it in the end, especially when he gets to see his baby and hold them in his arms, awwww! 💕💕💕
AAAAAAND WE'RE DONE!!! Thank you so much Anon for requesting these! I hope they were worth the wait <3
Yeah, I know there's a lot of headcanons here, but since Looey is one of my comfort characters (along with Squirm and a few other toons), there's bound to be a LOT of headcanons for the cute little balloon clown blorbo :3
BOBETTE BIRTH HCS OMG OMG I SAW THE POST IM SO GIGGLY
Hehehe, well since you asked nicely, here's your Bobette birth headcanons, as you ordered! Eat up, my friend ^^
Trigger warning: This post (obviously) contains several (NON-GRAPHIC) mentions of pregnancy, labor and birth. If this is something that makes you uncomfortable, please do NOT touch this post.
DO NOT IN ANY WAY S3XUALISE OR TAG THESE HEADCANONS AS K!NK/F3TISH. ANYONE CAUGHT DOING THIS WILL BE BLOCKED ON SIGHT.
Disclaimer: Please be advised that I am no midwife, doula, doctor, nurse or other kind of medical practitioner, and I have never been pregnant nor a mother, so I cannot fully guarantee that the pain-relieving tools and techniques mentioned will work on every pregnant/laboring person or in every situation. If you are pregnant and want to use any of these tools/techniques, I strongly advise you seek an actual professional first.
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ It’s always a festive time whenever Bobette goes into labor with her kiddos, even when it's NOT December! She becomes overjoyed and excited even with the amount of pain she’s in, so much that she’s already gathering her birth and baby bags and telling the other toons that it’s TIMEEEEEEE!
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ …okay, Bobette may not have done a Mariah Carey-style squeal when she announced that she was in labor, but it was still enough to alert the other toons… AND make Rudie cheer and jump for joy while ringing Christmas bells x3
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Bobette remains cheerful even as she arrives at the birthing centre, yet settles down once she checks in and gets taken to her birthing suite. She also really loves the suite with the red walls and the winter inspired decorations since it reminds her of the holiday season ^^
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ And about the birthing suite, the bauble toon likes it dimly lit with fairy lights and candles, which in her eyes adds a touch of festive magic to her birth experience ✨
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Bobette loves having music played in the birthing suite, too! Of course, she prefers listening to more soothing tunes like Christmas lullabies or winter-inspired piano melodies - our beloved bauble girl wants to be as relaxed as possible ^^
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Bobette is one of the toons who frequently uses Bassie’s homemade plant oils during labor, whether it’s in the form of a roller the ornament toon uses on herself, or even as a scent for the whole room! Bobette’s favourite is the peppermint oils, since they remind her of winter ❄️
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ ALL of the stuff Bobette brings with her to the birthing centre have a Christmas/winter theme to them. Her water bottle is red with a snowflake pattern, the bags have winter decals… even the tools she uses to manage labor have festive colours and designs!
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ However, one of the bauble toon’s favourite things to bring is her own little affirmation cards, which were handmade for her by some of the other toons, especially by her beloved Rudie and her friend Ginger :3
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Said affirmation cards have winter flowers and pictures painted on them alongside words of love and comfort. Oh, and yes, all of those loving words were written down by Rudie, of course 💕 (FestiveDeer go brrrrrrr-)
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Surprisingly enough, Bobette doesn’t really need pain relieving tools that often, since her pain tolerance is pretty good. Many years of juggling toymaking AND holiday festivities made her quite strong-willed! (yet even to this day, the others don't know whether that's a good thing or not, especially since we all know what happened to Bobette in the canon 3:)
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Though there is one tool that our Christmas gal uses to help manage the pain and discomfort from labor: a birth sling! Ever heard of one? Now you do!
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ A birth sling is a long fabric that you hang up or tie to a door/wall/ceiling and pull/tug on it while squatting/sitting or even wrap around your body and gently swing around. Apparently it helps speed things along and manage labor pains :P (from what I’ve read, at least) It’s kinda like the rebozo, with some differences here and there.
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Now here’s a fun fact: NOBODY in town, not even the toons, knew a thing or two about the birth sling… until an Australian midwife introduced them to the birthing centre! Let’s just say this led to birth slings becoming a popular tool for labor and birth, especially for Bobette, who eventually bought her own and has been using it since :3
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ (I say an Australian midwife because, despite this AU taking place in America, I’ve NEVER seen or heard of birth slings being used outside of Australia... BUT if you live outside of Oz and you’ve seen the birth sling being used in your country, feel free to correct me :P)
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ I can also see Bobette using one of those birth balls when in labor! Sometimes she leans onto the ball, while other times she sits on it while gently tugging/pulling on her birth sling ✨
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Oh! And she also loves having her hand held and squeezed gently while she breathes through contractions ^^ It helps Bobette feel comforted, even when she's in a calm state of mind <3
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Bobette is one of the toons who loves water births, since she finds them the most comforting even as she’s dealing with the pain and contractions ^^ Once labor comes close to an end, the bauble toon will immediately climb into the birth pool and relax, the water reminding her of a warm drink on a winter day ✨
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Of course, if the baby is coming faster than expected, Bobette will deliver her baby on one of this birth stools. Thankfully, the birthing suite always has a birth stool ready for her just in case ^^;
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Oh, and like most of the other toons, Bobette prefers wearing cosy pyjamas or loungewear when she’s having a baby, which are all in, perhaps unsurprisingly, festive colours and patterns. If she’s doing a water birth, she’ll take those clothes off, of course :P /nsx
⋆꙳•̩̩͙❅̩̩͙‧͙ ‧͙̩̩͙❆ ͙͛ ˚₊⋆ Overall, Bobette has had amazing and empowering experiences with all of her births, even the ones that were speedy! No matter how many children she’s had, they’re all, in her words, the best little gifts she’s ever received in her lifetime 💕
And we're all done! I personally enjoyed writing these headcanons, even while battling with my own shitty mental health :,3 I look forward to doing more of these in the future hehehehe :333
