It would definitely be that one that’s for sure -points at Iris- they love these old guys waaay too much for some reason. Although I could definitely see that purple echidna doin it too, he loves that frou frou, sparkles and dancing stuff.

Cheerleading? I’ve never done it before but it sure sounds like fun! Especially if we get to play dress-up!

I’d knew you’d say that -grins- I think you’d do great cheering them on. Give them all the emotional support while they fight the small army of cybernetically enhanced soldier echidnas that will inevitably come for the 5 of them.

Grandfather don’t be like that! The gal’s just curious, besides she already works with some alternate version of Angel Island’s Guardians so none of this is too uncommon for her.

Oh please allow me to elaborate, since I’ve quite researched this matter a bit I might have some insight to share.

Our chaos manipulating powers mostly come from being attuned to the Master Emerald but it’s not quite as simple as that. Due to the nature of chaotic energy it can be a rather unstable energy to deal with, some individuals are more sensitive to these energies than others, and there’s really no telling how it could affect each individual on a biological sense or even ability wise. This is why even though we all have chaos abilities we are able to manipulate it in different ways and even have our on ways of channeling that energy. 

Grandfather Spectre for example, in his young adulthood he experienced an incident in which his body absorbed really high levels of chaos energy directly from the Master Emerald. 

As a result of this near death experience he noticed that his skin had darkened and had began producing clouds of his essence as well as becoming a lot more sensitive to chaos energy. This leads him to have near omniscience and a greater command of chaos force which allows him to do incredible things such as teleportation with the use of the chaos force. I’ll also add that our family lineage are a bit of an anomaly when it comes to us drawing energy from the Master Emerald in comparison to the rest of the populace. Since our family has years of research and exposure to these energies it’s a factor that is ingrained in our DNA, allowing us to have a greater discipline and sensitivity in channeling these energies more naturally than most. 

-clears his throat a bit- I um hope that my ramblings answered your question some.

 An unfortunate outcome of dealing with Chaos energies is that they can be quite unstable as chaos in an of itself is unpredictable, so while our lineage has done its part in making it a science there’s still variables that may be unknown to us or beyond our scope of comprehension.

Iris: I'm grateful to have such amazing friends in my life that bring me lots of joy and laughs. Being able to live amongst the Brotherhood has been incredible and getting to interact with all of you is just awesome. I'm more than grateful to have such wonderful people that support me through such a vulnerable time as I transition as well, its a great feeling to be alive and happy. -smiles happily-

Chikki: I'm grateful for all these spicy memes nyehehe -chuckles to themselves maniacally- Iris: -looks at Chikki concerned-

Thunderhawk: Well I'm grateful to have my family, grateful for Iris and even Chikki for being a breath of fresh air around Haven, and for all the new friends that we've made along the way. You all enrich our lives in ways you can't even imagine and for that I'm grateful. -smiles then looks over at his father- What are you grateful for father? Sojourner: Um.. The good food we'll be eating today haha

Thunderhawk: -frowns at him-

Sojourner: -sighs- I'm grateful for the safety of our family and all the strangers that keep invading our home and criticizing our outfits...

Thunderhawk: -rolls his eyes at him- Ok now you are just being petty

Sabre: I'll say I'm grateful for the kindness of strangers and new perspectives from our visitors. It's nice to have a bit of a break from the mundane around here. Locke: I um.. am grateful for my family, for the health and wellbeing of my son.. grateful for the health of my wife and her family-

Sojourner: Ex-wife

Locke: Um Y-es! Ex-wife that's what I-I meant.. -he looks away embarrassed- I'm just grateful that everyone in my life is well and all... -he mumbles all flustered-

Sojourner: Mhmm.. -side eyes Locke-

Spectre: I will always be grateful for my family's health and well being as well as all of Angel Island. This particular year I find gratitude in new connections, I'm grateful for Iris and all they've done to support us, I'm grateful for all our new visitors and the insight they bring to our lives, I agree with Thunderhawk and Sabre that it is rather refreshing to be able to interact more with others and gain an outsider's view to our own.

... ... ... hmm I'm.. also quite grateful for some wonderful food... and desserts.

Chikki: Damn you're grateful for Iris and NOT me?? I thought we were homies.

Spectre: Negative.

Hmm my favorite fact? That’s tough, I have so many! Guess I should keep it in theme with this blog eh? So why not some facts about the Guardians?

Let’s see…

Locke is a huge history buff when it comes to Echidna History and their traditional culture. He loves to spend his free time studying the old ruins on Island and seeing what new discoveries he can make from them. He even takes inspiration from old Echidna tribal dress to incorporate into his own garments, I think that’s pretty neat!

Sabre likes to work on his garden and is quite passionate about it’s care. He appreciates nature and even harvests some fruits and veggies, which comes in handy since he mostly sticks to a vegetarian diet. He also really really loves tea!

Thunderhawk LOVES to cook especially for others and he’s quite good at it too! Unlike his father’s cooking -shudders- Thundy really loves spending quality time together with his family, and’s it's nice when delicious food brings us together. 

Fun fact! Sojourner can’t cook for shit. I mean he technically can cook but uh I wouldn’t recommend eating his cooking. To give him some credit he can grill amazing! Some of the tastiest BBQ I’ve had, but don’t inflate his ego too much about it -giggles-
