Chidera Eggerue (The Slumflower) is our Brownness Babe of the week! Cover shot by Tom Oldham.
Our second Brownness Babe of the week for the month of April is Chidera Eggerue, also known as The Slumflower. She is an award-winning blogger from Peckham (South-East London).
She calls herself “The Slumflower”, a moniker taken from Joshua Kissi’s project called “Slumflower”, a story about a 10-year-old boy who finds beauty in growing up in the midst of the slum.
Currently, she occupies the role of creative director for Innclusive, a start-up created out of sheer frustration at the discrimination many people face on Airbnb and she was featured in many online publications such as Elle, Complex, Asos, Vogue, CNN and BuzzFeed.
