When I taught English Comp, I would tell students to avoid constructing sentences that used "I believe," "I think," and "I feel" in their essays--particularly those essays in which they were detailing personal experiences. Why? Well, when you are telling YOUR story, the reader is under the impression that every belief, thought, and feeling presented belongs to YOU unless you tell them otherwise. Stripping the I believe, think, and or feel from your writing allows you to get right to the point. It makes for cleaner, more concise writing. It also makes you have to work harder as a writer so that you can develop rich content that immerses readers into your story and allows them to live your beliefs, your thoughts, and your feelings. #themoreyouknow #amediting #writingtip #writingcommunity #chicklitgurrl #creativeevangelist #writingevangelist #microblog #instawriters #instablog #instablogger https://www.instagram.com/p/CCKh6WADP5O/?igshid=7cieqtt959pg
