Starting in 1990, November is the annual month set aside to highlight Native American/Indigenous cultures, histories, and peoples in the United States. The Disney company does not have the best track record for depicting Native Americans in the best light, and we are aware that there are inaccurate and (likely) offensive aspects to each of these deceptions. That being said we did not want the month to go unacknowledged either. Our polls will draw on the more modern stories with characters from cultures on both Americas.
