Collaboration: Style Swap
Photographer: Ramon
I'm back with an exciting and different post for you guys, a "Style Swap" with the gorgeous girls; Joanne from Bam It's Joanne and Gloria from Chicachia.
We decided on 3 themes that we rotated:
White and Denim
Black and White
Colours
The first look was styled in our own personal style and one we're comfortable with before we started to shake things up by swapping styles. I love these girls and they are so much fun to hang around with. We even had a failed attempt at a Taylor Swift "Shake It Off" parody.
What made this style swap work was that we were all similar height and sizes so we were able to get into each others' clothes without any hairless and safety pins holding things in place.
Black and White - Jo (Styled by Jo)
Jo graced us in her elegance and a glance into her ever growing Louis Vuitton shoe collection with styling this styling black and white look with red pumps to break up the monochrome.
White and Denim - Gloria (Styled by Gloria)
Gloria, in her bubbly self donned us in a relaxing and comfortable white boyfriend blouse, buttoned to the top with jeans. I love how her outfits are always so comfortable and she will always put comfort first over anything else.
Colours - Camille (Styled by Me)
I went with my usual dainty look with m fail-safe skirt and pulled colours from the skirt to match and added texture with the knitted jumper. I wasn't expecting it to be so hot that day and having to dance around in the sun and heat was hard to bear.
The perfect photo to summarise our first look before the style swap began.
The first swap had made us open our eyes to see how different our styles really were. It made you realise that you can admire someone's style from afar but may not be able to pull it off just as good as them. Our aim was to style the looks as how we would wear it, not how we would think they would wear it, just to show how a different blogger would be able to pull off your style.
Colours - Jo (Style by Gloria)
Jo can literally pull off any look. She is so adventurous and willing to try anything that she is willing to step out of her comfort zone and always try something new. I admire this quality of hers. She's so down to earth and I love her attitude towards life and fashion.
Black and White - Gloria (Style by Me)
Gloria was pushed out of her comfort zone for this look and personally, I loved the look on her. She pulled it off so well and as much as she wouldn't be wearing so much leather (jacket, skirt and boots), she still managed to put a smile on her face, no matter how much I could tell she wanted to get out and put on something more comfortable for her.
Blue and White - Camille (Styled by Jo)
I didn't realise that Jo and I had so much in common when it came to fashion and she dressed me in something that I would actually wear out. The textured skirt, the colours in the top and shoes, it screamed my name all over it!
I really don't understand why I always throw a peace sign out there in photos but we had a blast shooting this look. It was so much fun seeing what each other's looks looked like on each other and we had one more round that we were all excited and worried about.
This was our final style swap in the 3-part series and it was loads of fun! We really couldn't get enough of hearing Jo singing out loud and them trying to introduce me to 5 Seconds of Summer. Here;s how the final stye swap panned out.
White and Denim - Jo (Styled by Camille)
This girl can pull off anything! She looked absolutely amazing! I wanted to take a spin on the White and Denim theme by putting together a double denim look with blue and white denims and although the shoes were a tad bit too big, she looked better than I could have ever pulled it off... ever!
Colours - Gloria (Styled by Jo)
Gloria was again out of her comfort zone with a look styled by Jo wearing a tight skirt with a fluffy knit. She still manages to put a smile on her face and pull off the look without fail. I love how she always has a genuine smile on her face.
Black and White - Camille (Styled by Gloria)
Speaking of comfort zones, I was completely and utterly out of mine. It's not often at all that I would wear printed short shorts but they were so comfortable and breathable. I would definitely take a chapter out of Gloria's style book when turning to stylish comfort. It's something I really need to consider if I want to be able to walk properly after wearing heels for hours on end and tight clothes that becomes hard to breathe out of after a meal. Comfort is never a good price to pay when it comes to fashion.
When conversation about lashes and getting advice on putting them on results in a really good photo of the three of us.
I apologise for the hiatus on my blog recently. Christmas is coming up and I have been attempting a lot of DIY this year and it's taking longer than usual to get through it all. As our family grows, so does the number of Christmas presents and we're exactly one month away from Christmas so it's crunch time! I have also fallen sick and my eczema is becoming almost unbearable so I've been resting, taking it easy and attempting everything in the book to help my health.
Till next time my lovely readers.
