this is silly . this is so silly .

"...Is something wrong?"

With the revelation that no one could see His outfit as He intended it - and furthermore, that the Altmer running the show were quite displeased with His too-mad presence - Lord Sheogorath had returned to the Shivering Isles with Haskill, dejected.

"Oh, Haskill..."

"I know, sire."

"It's ridiculous!" Sheogorath huffed, shaking out His hands. "You can't hold a party about Daedra and then fail to host those Daedra - how utterly rude, ridiculous, nonsensical!"

Haskill sighed, "I did warn You this was a possibility..."

Sheogorath barrelled on, "Do you know - of course you know - how long it took Me to get all of that elytra silk?! Oh, My darlings, they did so well - and no one can even appreciate it! And the amber-"

Haskill nodded solemnly, as Sheogorath continued ranting. "Dumag gro-Bonk, you know, he made sure it was the highest quality of amber in... in... well, everywhere! Such a gem, that one. He always knows just the right things to say to butter Me up..."

"And so what if I drive a few people Mad! Oh, what a glorious life they'd lead! I could see it in that one's eyes, that sweet little Maormer. Wouldn't she be such a treat among Us..."

"I understand. But perhaps, if I may..." Haskill cleared his throat, "I don't believe it would take many adjustments."

"I don't want any adjustments!" Sheogorath banged His fist on the arm of His throne, "I want them to see Me as I am now!"

Haskill pondered - Lord Sheogorath had been quite excited for this event, keeping obsessive track of the Tamrielic calendar just to ensure He wouldn't miss it. There had to be a way...

"It's been so long since I last could properly manifest! And finally, finally they gave Me a chance, a real invitation - and they couldn't even handle Me!"

"Perhaps," Haskill interjected, "I could take on aspects that You might have to otherwise discard. No work is wasted, then - simply changed in form."

Sheogorath's hands fell to His lap, considering the offer. He didn't... like it, per se, but in reality He didn't want to give up on this just yet. Maybe Haskill was right, and there was a way through this...

"...You'd do that for Me?"

"I would do anything for You, my Lord."

martin try very hardest to shutter out . ignore every dream , ignore every pain , and simply devote self to people as penance for time under sanguine - first as priest of akatosh , and then as emperor-to-be .

during first meeting in dream world , something about thali catch henantier's eye . perhaps this was just that stranger bravely come to rescue , without even know what would be ahead ...

but as two meet again and again in reality , affections become clear - henantier was in love . could not read thali's feelings , however , so choose to stay silent in hopes of not jeopardise friendship .

and then , thali disappear - from bruma to leyawiin , and anvil to cheydinhal , no one could find any trace for two weeks . henantier wonder if silence was really best choice .

but upon return , something was ... different . re-adopt full birth name of thaliendir , for one thing , but even beyond that ... thaliendir seem to look at world differently now . this become even more apparent as oblivion crisis come to close - between grief , recklessness , and simple pressures of attention and status ... would be in no shape to take love right now .

so henantier continue to stay silent , and watch as beloved friend unravel year by year , decade by decade . as each one pass , silence is no longer problem - happy to meet thaliendir exactly where love is at , even if might wish for certain other displays , know will never get . so long as able to hold close as friend , to see happiness , that is enough .

what really trouble henantier is all of unknowns - is sheogorath truly behind this ? why was that thaliendir's choice ? was there something henantier could have done , should have done , to prevent this ?

and just how much longer will thaliendir be here ? will henantier even know when farewell means forever ? want to love until end of time , but time stop for no one . all there is to do is treasure each moment which happen , and try to put worries aside .

sometimes that is just not so easy .
