So, I still haven’t slept in damn near 48 hours. All I’ve been doing is beating myself up over one human being. All the thinking I have done has forced myself to make a promise.

I am promising to myself that I’m not going to put other people first anymore. I’m going to be selfish and protective, for me.

I am promising myself that when I see a red flag, I’m not going to ignore it. I’m not going to seek out the good in people anymore.

I am promising myself that instead of looking for something or someone to fix, I’m going to fix myself. I’m going to become the fantastic woman that I know I am.

I am promising myself that it’s okay to be alone. I don’t need a man to be happy. I don’t need all the fairy tale bullshit.

I am promising myself to stop looking for love. People say once you stop looking, it finds you. (Let’s hope that shit is real or I’m dying a cat lady 🐱🐱)
