My doctor advised that cheer would no longer be a good sport for me, it would be too much pressure on my knee. Set aside my stubbornness, my love for cheer outweighed the pain in my knee. With that being said, I willingly took option b: scraps, nurofen, ice, deep heat and elevation. Fair to say, as I lie in discomfort about to sleep after first training back from break, I contemplate my decisions. Nevertheless, I don't see myself quitting cheer just yet, especially when nationals are just 6 weeks away. Please knee stay with me at the time of need, I will be preping you with pain relievers, tape, straps and Ice. We can make it through and rest after its all done! Let the bumpy road to nationals begin.
