On one hand I totally understand why people find the way that Hiveswap handled troll castes lame and felt that it minimized some of the uniqueness of the og troll cast. On the other hand I wish people were more willing to engage with the sociological intrigue of it specifically pertaining to how Hiveswap fleshed out the rigidness of troll society and attempted to develop the hemospectrum as a class structure beyond just "alien racism."

Like yeah I totally understand how making all of the Teal bloods lawyers might recontextualize Terezi's existence in a way that's sort of frustrating, but also isn't it mildly interesting to play in the headspace of a society that segregates an entire caste into working one very specific job? Becoming a lawyer is a very specific job to lump onto one singular caste, and for a society where it's established that their justice system is pretty, well, Unjust, it begs the question of what do they need all these fucking lawyers for? Which also makes me think that people should think about off-planet trolls more, bc I really do think that there's like. Stuff that you can do with this that seems strangely dismissed in current fandom practices due to a kneejerk distaste for how Hiveswap handles the hemospectrum. Which idk, is fair but also is a missed opportunity imo
