speaking of bitching/moaning I donât like those posts that are like âif you like [popular piece of media considered Unsophisticated] you should try [thing I consider Good and Scary]â
donât make me want to stand by the 911 girls over you beloved
A gift for @authortobenamedlater that in no way was influenced in the slightest by the real life drama when we had to pick our latest vehicle. @rainintheevening, you can have some giggles too.
The Armada was better than the Sequoia. I said it then, Iâm saying it again now and Iâm not taking it back, ever!
Youâre Not Stuck In Here With Me, Iâm Stuck In Here With You!
The fight had gone the way they always went, which is to say Anakin had messed up.  Again.  He loved PadmĂ© dearly, but he had always been the one who got hot.  She generally speaking but not always was the level-headed one who spoke calmly and didnât let the emotion show through.  He was all fire and sometimes when you played with fire, you got burned.
So, there he was.  General Anakin Skywalker, hero of the Clone Wars, savior of the damned, husband to arguably the most powerful woman in the galaxy, taking the walk of shame to clear his head because he just never quite knew when to quit.  The only saving grace had been that the kids had been away visiting their grandparents and didnât have to bear witness to their motherâs and fatherâs verbal sparring match.Â
One kriffig fine example of Jedi calm and composure I sure set, he mockingly told himself in his head.  The fight had been hours ago and yet, he was still out.  Walking.  Determined he wasnât going to give PadmĂ© the satisfaction of letting her win.
Win over what?  What were we fighting about exactly?  I was so mad I canât even rememberâŠwhat the kriff am I even doing?  Am I hiding?  Anakin pondered this question while his feet began to guide him to the lift back to his Coruscant home. Â
In what felt like an eternity and simultaneously no time at all, the lift arrived at his front door.  His fingers hovered over the door control as he took a deep breath, swallowed his pride, squared his shoulders and finally, tapped the button. Â
The door slid open.  The house was quiet.  Itâs too quiet, feels like a trap.  He shook his head banishing the paranoid thought and with all the courage he could muster, crossed the threshold to enter the dwelling.Â
Anakin resisted the urge to reach out with his senses, considering the move foolishly paranoid.  Passing though the living area, he caught a shadow in the kitchen.  He slowly walked towards the arched entranceway and saw Padmé sitting at the table, her back turned from the entrance.
Anakin slowly approached, walking gently but stopped several strides short.  Padmé raised her right hand and wordlessly pointed to the chair directly opposite to her.  Anakin followed the nonverbal command, taking a seat but kept his eyes down, afraid that if he looked up into what he was sure to be her damnably calm expression, he would get angry all over again.
He took a deep breath and kept his eyes on the table in front of him.  âAngel,â he began.  âIâm sorry.  I honestly donât even remember what the kriff we even were fighting over.  IâŠIâm very sorry and I am asking that you forgive m-â he stopped mid-sentence as movement from PadmĂ©âs face in his peripheral vision caught his eyes.Â
He dared a quick glance up.  She was smirking.  Why would PadmĂ© smirkâŠoh no.
âSabĂ©âŠâ He growled out in a low tone. Â
âMy mistress wants you to know that she forgave you hours ago.  Also that she forbids you ever to walk out on her again in anger.  Because-â
âBecause it could well be the last time I ever see her,â Anakin finished the sentence.  He bit his lip and felt the anger start to evaporate and change to embarrassment and shame.  âHow bad did I kriff it up?â
SabĂ© smiled sweetly.  âWorse things have happened.  Like the Clone Wars.â  She gave a small breath as she got up.  âSheâs waiting for you on the balcony right now.  Your apology was very sweet by the way.â
Anakin looked up, his face flushed red with embarrassment.  âPractice run?â
SabĂ© paused and turned to look over her shoulder on the way out of the kitchen.  âI wouldnât make a habit of it.  Divorce may not be an option, but capital murder certainly is and handmaidens never tell.  Oh, and it was over the new airspeeder.â  She vanished out of the room, leaving Anakin at the table alone.
âThanks for the reminder,â he said to nobody in particular.  He gathered what was left of his broken pride, stood up and walked toward the balcony entrance.  He slid open the door and stepped out, greeted by the sight of PadmĂ© staring at him expectantly.
âI, ah, met SabĂ© in the kitchen.â  He stammered out.  âI deserved that.â  Silence was his reply. Â
âAngel, I-â his sentence was cut off by PadmĂ© closing the distance and wrapping him in a warm embrace.  She crushed herself against him and Anakin had hardly ever felt a more reassuring hug as he buried his face into her hair and wrapped her in his arms.
âAni, donât ever leave me in anger again,â she croaked out, her voice horse.  She had clearly been crying.  âAnd Iâm sorry too.â  She buried her face into his chest and gave a gentle sob.  Anakin just held her.
âSorry for what?  Iâm the one who walked out and got hot.  You have nothing to apologize for.  Even the stunt with SabĂ©, I had that coming.â
She giggled and wiped her eyes, releasing him from the crushing hug.  âYeah, you did you scruffy nerd herder.â  Anakin chucked slightly also, feeling the embarrassment fade.  âIâm sorry that I didnât hear you when you had concerns over the silly airspeeder.â
Anakin sighed.  âWell, your arguments were so solid and you were so well spoken I guess I felt like I didnât have a legitimate point.â
PadmĂ© playfully slapped his chest.  âIâm a politician, Ani.  Itâs my job to be well-spoken.â
âLook, Angel, you can have what you want.  Itâs going to be your speeder to use.  Itâs still not as good as-â
âYesyesyes the Kuat is newer, has more features and is better appointed per credit and overall is a better one.  I know. And I know you know speeders.  I do.  I just really want the Nubian.â
âIts not near as good a buyâŠâ
âIts shiny and matches my eyes.â  She looked up at him.  He looked down and begrudgingly admitted, she had a point.  A terribly stupid point that made no sense, but a point nonetheless.
Anakin sighed.  âWill it make you happy?â
She leaned into his hear and whispered. âVery.â
âJust donât expect me to drive it or like it.  On principle I can do neither.â  He smirked down at her.  âThatâs a, âyes, Angel.  We can get it.â  Just to be clear.â
PadmĂ© kissed his cheek.  âDonât worry, I know you have your heart set on that Kuat.  When itâs time, itâs yours.  No questions asked.â
âPromise?â
âPromise.â
30 Day Film Challenge Day 7: A movie you never get tired of.Â
Mommie Dearest (1981).Â
Look, hereâs the deal. This movie has been panned, debated, etc. While itâs campy as hell, to me, the over-the-top exaggerated yelling and ranting by Faye Dunwaye as the late Joan Crawford is the work of a comedy mastermind. In short, itâs like cinematic narcotics...I watch it for the laughs.Â

i find it mildly entertaining that this year, anyone who iâve have had actual personal issues with are mature about it and still show me some resepct. they know me, and have valid reasons to want nothing to do with me, but arenât the oneâs to make a scene on social media, unfollow on everything and are so childish they wonât even look me in the eye. no no no, thatâs reserved for people who are outraged over... a tumblr post
Do you ever just look at the new Ghostbusters trailer and get real pissed off?
Ahahahaha! I just read that Motorola's latest smartphone is called the Moto X Force. I WANT ONE. (also its big selling point is an allegedly unbreakable screen, which just makes me want fic of Shatterstar putting this to the test XD)
