She may lovingly tease the giver about it relentlessly, but she’ll still keep the gift.  WHEN WILL THEY DRINK ALCOHOL: Socially, to relax, to forget.  HOW MANY DATES UNTIL THEY GO TO BED: Depends on the person and her age. If it’s someone she can see a serious relationship forming with she’ll wait until at least the fifth date. However, if she is younger it only depends on the mood she’s in.

these days —and he says ‘ these days ’ , but more often than not , he’s so lost in time that he doesn’t know which days are which— he finds it all too difficult to be anything but neutral , noncommittal. his words are fleeting and weightless , hollow and habitual , but the good news —and he says good news as if he knows what good news is— is that he’s ACUTELY AWARE OF IT.

because it’s obvious , not simply by the words but the tone they are delivered in ,that she is looking for something. and she is looking for something in him. and beyond that , she is trusting him to offer it to her once she finds it. or so she can.

and what’s more , she’s trusting him to trust her with it in the aftermath.
