I’m not a big fan of noodles with exception to Pho (which I haven’t found a decent go to place in Hong Kong yet…although I’m dying to try Pho Bar which has received rave reviews) and Ramen. Specifically, Pho and Ramen done right. Like a typical weekend, I found myself walking around looking for something new to eat and came across this place, which is 10 feet away from a fruit stand I frequent. The restaurant is relatively small (seats at most 20) and seats are quite spread out. There are four types of noodles you can choose from (normal, garlic, spicy and flavor of the month….well it’s not called flavor of the month but it’s more like a limited edition type of ramen that lasts for a few weeks). I went for the garlic version while my friend went for flavor of the month. The garlic version came with a half egg, two thing slices of pork and some wood ear mushrooms. The flavor of the month came in a tomato base with crab meat, half egg and wood ear. The broth was very MSGy and luckily each table had its own jug of ice water which helped quench my thirst. The pork slices as well as the other ingredients provided nothing special to remember about and considering the price (HK$75 for the normal and HK$85 for flavor of the month), I’ll probably hit up the more popular/traditional places next time. Not Delish….
