The Grand Total Enrollment for all the students -- part-time and full-time, undergrad and grad -- is estimated to be 2450 for the 2018-2019 school year.
Last year 2800 was the estimate from WutBJU’s data with an actual Grand Total of 2850.
This year the numbers are down 400.

Why the sudden plummet? It doesn’t take a Stats class to figure it out. Look:
The yellow highlight above is an estimate of the first-time Freshman based on the Summer Orientation numbers. But look at the confirmed submitted-to-the-State First-Time Freshmen enrollment. The last four years has been consistently under 600 -- the lowest first-year classes since Bob Jones University has been in Greenville.
Sure, Steve Pettit is holding things steady -- but steady isn’t good enough. And Now, BJU seems to be feeling the full impact of those low numbers. Now.
And what does that do to the bottom line?
So how do BJU’s salaries among the professorial ranks compare with their Benchmarks?
Remember their benchmarks are not Harvard and Yale. Their benchmarks are mostly Southern Baptist schools.
The reason for the spike between the 2015-16 and 2016-17 is likely that BJU changed their benchmarks to Charleston Southern and William Carey (Mississippi).
The bottom three lines in the graph are BJU’s salaries.
This is Bob Jones University. This is how BJU compares. Why attend a university that so dramatically underpays its teachers? Why support that?
Those are the average salaries based on BJU’s faculty “ranking” of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor.
There is no tenure at BJU, mind you. Everyone is on an as-needed, annual-”contract” basis.
BJU has no contracts, but we have to work with what we’ve got.
The salaries have not reached the 2014-2015 school year levels yet.
