Apparently Alan Moore doesn’t approve of the HBO Watchmen series. That no surprise. But does it matter? Moore himself based the original comic series on other creator’s work. While DC obviously gave him permission, did Moore seek the approval of the people who created the various Chaleton comic characters? I’m guess he didn’t. That’s the way the comic business works.
I’m feeling a little indifferent to the HBO series. I’m not sure I want to watch a show about race relations. I don’t get HBO so unless there’s a free weekend after to series starts, problem solved.
Regarding Damon Lindelof, I’m also dubious of his achievements. “Lost” is a mixed bag with a bad ending. Based on the commentary tracks for “Alien Covenant” he is also responsible for the incredible plot holes (welk, Ridley Scott shares the blame).
