Attention, my opinion may not coincide with the opinion of the majority!
I don't know how to start my conversation. I still have a lot of different thoughts in my head.
To begin with, I understood many of the decisions of season 4. Yes, I didn't like how the creators were trying to diversify the season, while literally wiping their feet on old fans.
Let's start small: Mike. This character is good in itself, but there is one BIG problem. He would have been good in the past 1-3 seasons, but not now, when the team has reached a new level of relations. Including Charlie and Sarah.
Giving a guy to Sarah - okay, we ate it.
I liked the twist with Charlie's mental state. Eva WAS IN PLACE, because she became, in fact, the personification and guide in the problem, along with Rex. (I even wrote a separate analysis of what Eva was needed for)
Next: the question of Jesse's bisexuality remains open. I apologize to all the creators, but do you seriously think that Jessie Mills is only for women? Please, I'm glad that you began to disclose it - you don't have to flush everything down the toilet. Jesse is a wonderful character. Yasmin is a sweet, lovely girl for Jesse Mills, but the problem is again in the background of past seasons and that she is a "one-time character".
Joe Donovan: Papa Joe. In particular, Dad is for Jesse. I was sometimes annoyed by his excessive guardianship. And then "Impawster Syndrome".. And then I had questions: What's important to you, Papa Joe? The reputation of the precinct or "your child"? I'll say it again - Joe and Jesse's relationship is already on another level. This is not the level of season 1-3, where Donovan could still avoid his parental care for Jesse.
P.S. I want to say separately in the next episode thank you for letting Adele handle the case. Yes, she's a controversial character, but I have high hopes for her. And Joe needed to step aside a little and rethink his attitude towards Mills.
Moving on: Trina. She'S NOT DR. TRUONG. She's not Sarah. I've got a lot of it burned from her. With Charlie, she has complete antichemy. And they added it just for the sake of kicking Sarah's ass and ending her relationship with Mike.
Question: What the hell is going on?
Go over the heads of old fans... This is not good at all. All innovations would work fine if there was not one BUT! The established relationships of the characters and the CANON of past seasons.
We've had enough drama for this season. I hope that it will only be raked further, and not aggravated. Otherwise, Hudson and Rex will lose its specialness and zest. And with it, the audience.
Donovan: Favourite horror movie?
Sarah: It
Charlie: Annabelle
Jesse: High School Musical. after watching it I spent all my middle school years terrified that the entire school would start singing something and I’d be the only one who didn’t know the lyrics
Jesse, completely serious: Sir, it has been reported lately that you do, in fact, have little paw-paws and a little button nose. Do you care to comment?
Rex: bark
Jesse: riveting
Sarah, walking in: Am I interrupting something?
Sarah: Are you ready to commit?
Jesse: Like, a crime or a relationship?

Charlie: Let me show you a picture from last night that really upset me
Jesse: Okay, but in my defense, Sarah bet me 50 cents I couldn’t drink all that shampoo.
Charlie: That’s not what I wanted to- you drank SHAMPOO?!
Jesse: What if vampires aren’t affected by the sun and they all just heard the stories and decided not to push their luck?
Sarah: What if you CAN eat asbestos and construction companies have been hoarding their delicious delicious asbestos for years?
Jesse: YOU. You get it.
Charlie: *stares on in horror*
Charlie, standing outside Sarah’s window with a sign saying ‘PROM?’
Jesse, leaning out of the window: Oh my god, yes
Charlie: No, tell Sarah
Jesse: Sarah, I’m going to prom with your boyfriend
Sarah: Cool
