Probably an unpopular opinion but Silco had to die.
Don't get me wrong I love his character, and his relationship with Jinx as a father, and heck I'm even thinking of writing a fluff fic about what if Vander and Silco never betrayed each other, but from a storytelling perspective it makes sense.
You know why?
Because Jinx and Vi are the next generation representations of Silco and Vander.
I'm sure this has been pointed out before but face it Jinx was 'betrayed' by Vi, she declared Vi wasn't her sister anymore and ended up on the other side of the resistance. Same as Silco.
And for Vi well she is headstrong but has a good heart, often too stubborn to see the truth and wants her sister back.
But for these characters to grow they can't have the shadows of Silco and Vander, they'll be with them in spirit, but they need to be better than their predecessors.
For the sake of Zaun and Piltover's future.
