SOMMERS-GILBERT-MAXWELL: Essentially anyone involved in the Gilbert or Sommers family & their partners.
Judith Maxwell (nee Gilbert) — She is the older sister of Grayson & John (& Thomas), by three years. Originally from the books, she's remixed to fit the show as well. When Grayson and Miranda die, she's called instead of Jenna, so she moves back from Oregon to Mystic Falls. She has a son and functionally treats them all as hers, but they keep stressing her out. (Her main love interest is her husband, Robert Maxwell, noted below. In the occasion he dies, she later falls into Elijah's web. Rip, queen).
Robert Maxwell — Judith's husband, two years her senior. He is second cousins with Peter Maxwell as well, but their parents had a falling out when they were teenagers, and Peter and Kelly's relationship further damaged their own. He's the father of Judith's son and a brother in law to the Gilbert brothers. He was raised in MF and is apart of the Proto MFG, as Flora calls them. (His love interest is obviously Judith. I believe in double standards. He doesn't get another love interest if she dies, unless Flora wants him to kiss someone).
Poppy Sommers — The middle sister between Miranda and Jenna (and in my heart, Liam's younger sister). In her main verse and most others, she becomes the guardian of Sarah Salvatore after Stefan 'saves' her. When Stefan comes back to get her, she's already gone with Poppy. she raises her outside of MF with occasional visits, and comes back full time when Miranda dies to help Jenna out. (Her main love interest is Zach Salvatore!)
Thomas Gilbert — He's the youngest of the Gilbert quartet, only one year younger than John. Also originally from the books and is Elena's father there, but is not here. He's Grayson and John's younger brother and the father of Margaret Gilbert, here. Lives in Mystic Falls himself but declined to take on Jeremy and Elena, although no one told them that. Dies in season five, typically, but he takes Markos with him. (His love interest is Elizabeth Morrow-Gilbert, also from the books, also remixed, noted below. After she dies, he is the one who goes on to fall in love with Jo, and it is unrequited. His luck sucks).
Elizabeth Morrow-Gilbert — Thomas' wife, and half angel. Yes, I dive into all of that in stories where Maggie exists and is a main character. I typically let her live all the way up until Esther dies in TVD and I let her die with her because she passes on her 'grace' to save someone else. Sometimes she lives further, but not usually. She's the mother of Thomas' daughter, and also Katherine's half sister, so she is at least 500 years old. I said remixed! (Her love interest is Thomas! She starts something with Esther and Mikael both and it involves all three of them dying in the end. Thomas forgives her. Maggie does not.)
Hayden Gilbert — The oldest adoptive child of Miranda and Grayson. He's the child of one of Jenna's friends, who they took in shortly after having Jeremy. Bleeding hearts, they are. Born in 1990, became a Gilbert in 1995. Dark hair and dark eyes and a moody attitude, because he's convinced everyone in his generation is drinking the koolaid. Doesn't find out about vampires until Jenna dies. Friends with Ben McKittrick and co. (His love interest, unofficially, is Damon until he realizes he's being played, and then Luke, who does in fact die. His love life sucks. I'm thinking about letting him kiss Finn and Sage....).
Gilbert Maxwell — Judith and Robert's son, a 1991 baby. He's their only child and spent half of his childhood in Mystic Falls, the other half in Oregon. Moving back is like jumping right back on a bicycle, except the girl he used to kiss now kisses his little cousin and everything is wrong because his favorite uncle died and he's so convinced that the Salvatores are about to traffic his whole family. (He usually ends up with my Kenner OC, but he's been known to kiss a few Mystics).
Sarah Sommers(-Salvatore) — She is technically not an OC, but an alternate version where she was raised by Poppy instead of strangers, so she has notable differences. Okay, I lied, she's functionally an OC here. (Her main love interest is the girl version of Matt, Matilda. <3)
Margaret Gilbert — The daughter of Elizabeth and Thomas. She, like Stella, was born in 1995. She's a couple months older than Stella, usually, and she is a happy only child. People keep leaving her out of things until her angelic heritage is revealed to her and then she's everyone's bestie. Too bad she's a true believer of running away. (Her main love interest is Ryan Clarke, who joins the fray much sooner than Legacies).
Stella Gilbert — Youngest sibling of (Hayden), Elena, (Nat) & Jeremy. Usually exists on her own but she was born in 1995. She was a surprise baby and deals with insane jealousy over the fact she's not in the older kids crew! They are all so hot and close-knit and she's fucking pissed. She completely ignores the fact most people who are her age want to be her friend, too. (Her main love interest is Bonnie, but it's unrequited on Bonnie's end, so she keeps getting into ill-advised hookups and situations that leads her to becoming a vampire and then dating Hope when she reaches her teenage years).
DONOVAN & CO: The Donovans, Honeycutts & co.
Matthew J. Honeycutt — From the novels, but repurposed, naturally. Matt Donovan was named after him. He is Kelly Donovan's younger stepbrother who is the closest thing to family she has left, and who she frequently relies on until she 'quits him' cold turkey. Three years older than Jenna. He and Stefan end up very close after he comes to town and finds out Kelly hasn't been taking care of Matt and Vicki following the Gilberts' funeral. Vicki Lives AU, usually. (Main Love Interest undecided, but he sure does kiss a lot of people for my amusement!)
Elizabeth Margot Donovan — Twin sister to @icarusofathousanddays' Cosette, she's one of the youngest two Donovan sisters. Always who I'm referring to when I say Lizzie on this blog. She considers herself to be Caroline's best friend, despite her falling in and out of love with her and Tyler and Liv and at some point, Kol. She's determined to keep her sisters alive, no matter what. Usually, when she exists, I make Matt a girl too. So it's a #Donovan Sisters AU. (Her Main Love Interest is my other OC, James Young, but she gets to kiss Liv, Tyler, Caroline and Kol sometimes).

Leah Lockwood — Richard and Mason's younger sister who followed a downward spiral out of Mystic Falls and comes back later to be the cool aunt/older sister to Tyler and Anthony. Uninterested in the politics of the cities, and still becomes the head of the council. The Mikaelsons are her biggest enemies and she is not on their radar, by her design. (Her main love interest is another OC of mine, Charlotte Flemming, but she keeps falling in bed with Rebekah, too).
Charlotte Flemming-Lockwood — Fits here because she does marry Leah, eventually. She is Isobel's sister who, likewise Alaric, did not give up searching for her. She only finds out about everything after Isobel dies, so she rocks up pissed about it. She and Leah keep trying to kill each other until they don't. (Her main love interest is of course Leah, but whereas Leah keeps sleeping with Rebekah, Charlotte keeps finding herself in Klaus' bed to feel close with Isobel. She's nuts, guys).
Anthony Lockwood — Richard Lockwood's controversial tean baby, who is actually not his baby at all. A distantly related Lockwood has a teen baby at a much more controversial age, and Mason tries to take accountability, but Richard does instead to make it easier on everyone. He is Richard's baby, but more importantly, Carol's baby. No one will ever say differently. (His main love interest is undecided, but I'm leaning towards an OC, and a bunch of Flora's people.)
BENNETTS — There's a lot going on, here.
Bailey Bennett — Abby's younger sister, Sheila's daughter. She rocks back into town after Sheila dies, and things go downhill from there. She ends up in New Orleans at the end of it, against her will. (Her main love interest is Gideon Black, who is a hybrid of Klaus'. She is allowed to have ill advised romantic entanglements with Mason on and off all her life, though, and be extremely jealous of Freelin together).
May McCullough Fitzgerald — Born in 1991. She doesn't necessarily exist in the books but I pulled inspiration from her from there. She's related to Bonnie via Abby's father. They are second cousins! She was born in Mystic Falls but was quickly moved to New York. She returns to the battlefield when she meets Daniel Forbes at college. (Her main love interest is Daniel Forbes, another OC of mine).
Briana Bennett — She only exists to die, unfortunately. She's a little bit of a 'she exists everywhere but I only mention her sometimes'. She was the oldest daughter of Abby and Rudy who died in the midst of Abby putting Mikael down. She was a casualty of war, and something I add to further Abby's reasons for leaving the town and Bonnie behind. In the rare, rare version of the story that she doesn't die— Mikael kidnaps her before he's put down and Abby is never able to find her again.
Bridget Bennett — Born in 1993. The daughter of Pauline Bennett, second cousins with Briana & Bonnie, and someone who visited MF during the summers, but never lived there. Much like with Bailey, she has a permanent place in the plot starting around the time of Sheila's death. Only her and her mother come back before Sheila dies and her mom dies instead. So... she's got that to deal with. (Her main love interest is Tyler Lockwood).
FORBES.
Daniel Forbes — Bill's first 'pretend to be straight' baby, born right out of high school, a 1990 baby. Liz's stepson who she accepted mildly well and makes sure to always say step about. His mom signed away rights but he's been secretly talking to her since he was thirteen. Left to go to college at seventeen and met May, and cut off contact with Liz and Care. After Caroline's car accident, he started talking to her again. (His main love interest is May, but I allow him to kiss Lily Salvatore sometimes. Don't ask).
FELLS.
Mercedes 'Sadie' Fell — Meredith's younger half sister, her mom's midlife crisis. A 1990 baby. She and Meredith take a 'it's just us' approach because their mom kind of lost it in the grief of losing Sadie's dad, but it works for them. She tries to stay out of the way and out of noise, so she's irked when Mer starts dating someone directly in the noise. (Her main love interest is Tom Avery, because I think it's really funny.)
Shae Fell — Logan's younger sister, not a midlife crisis baby, but a bitchy baby nonetheless. Very involved in the knowings, comings and goings of the council and vampires in the area. 1991 baby. After Logan turns, she kills him for trying to turn her. She's got issues. She and Sadie actually exist together all of the time but they pretend they aren't related. (Her main love interest is Cade, but she takes turns kissing Tristan, Lucien and Aurora).
PARKERS.
Aspen Parker — Jo's baby, born in ...... 1993........1994...........something like that. She's left with Joshua to be raised there as Jo heals and moves on from the fiasco, especially considering she still has magic and Jo does not. She's basically raised as a triplet to Liv and Luke, but she knows she's not, really. She goes on a journey of trying to fight death to save her siblings. (Her main love interest is Kaleb Westphall).
CLAIRES & CO.
David Walker — The father of Davina Claire, who was lead to believe she died by her mother. He gets flack for 'walking out' on her one day and wonders what the fuck people are talking about, and goes back to New Orleans shortly before the Harvest Ritual. On one hand? He saves Sean. On the other? Where the hell is his daughter? (His main love interest is Josette Laughlin, across the board.)
Evelina Claire — Davina's eldest sister, born in 1988. They're half sisters who have the same mother. As a teenager, she has a quick regrettable wedding with a guy who wants to drag her down for years to come, and practically gets disowned. She stays away even after divorcing him until Sean calls her and lets her know his uncle is worried about her little sister. (Her main love interest is Vincent Griffith).
Rowena Claire — The sister between Evelina and Davina, because I usually let them all exist at the same time, I can't help it. She's a 91 baby, whose dad was believed to be David. Turns out it's not, and her actual bio dad shows up and takes custody of her for a good handful of years. She circled back at sixteen to bond with her sisters again, before she went off to college. And then all hell breaks loose when Evelina calls her. (Her main love interest is my other OC, Nathaniel, who is Klaus' half brother).
SALVATORES.
Anastasia Salvatore — Damon's twin sister, naturally. I had to. She's a longtime complication in Katherine's plans, and an instigator and exhausted referee of Damon and Stefan's beef. All the while beefing with both of them at different points. She has a close relationship with Zach, and therefore saves him, as well as takes Vicki under her wing. (Her main love interest is my oc, Madeleine Caldwell when they exist together, but also occasionally Katherine and Matt Honeycutt).
Madeleine Caldwell — Anastasia's main love interest and eventual wife in most of their shared universes. She's the niece of my other OC, Roman, and falls into Klaus and Stefan's web of insanity as a hostage-turned-ally. She was born a banshee and turned into a vampire, although her inklings of death still linger around her and manifest as bursts of death-bringing energy. (Main love interest is Anastasia when they exist together; she is a no good Elijah kisser but they never last, and she will occasionally flirt with my other OC who is connected to Elijah).
Lucia Salvatore — The baby Lily died giving birth to, after she was sent away. She was raised by the nurse who delivered her, up until Julian came and killed her family to return her to Lily as a gift. She was livid, and worked with the gemini coven to lock the heretics away as revenge. Did she mean to get Lily as well? No. Does she regret it? Also no. She promptly ran away when they tried to kill her too, and has been evading their grasp since. Has no idea of her bio siblings. (Her main love interest is Marcel Gerard).
YOUNGS
James Young — Pastor Young Son's and April's older brother. 1991, baby, I got a whole squad of them. He's a football star of his high school class. Kind of a douche in a 'you can't help but love him sort of way', unfortunately. He tries to mind his business so bad that it wraps around and lands on his doorstep when his dad starts acting weird. (His main love interest is Elizabeth Donovan, but sometimes Elena goes there).
KENNERS
Jamie Kenner — The younger cousin of Jackson Kenner, Mary's granddaughter. A 1991 baby. Her parents died when hunters came to the bayou and she was raised in the city, never having broke her curse and flying under the radar with a different last name. Problems arise when Hayley doubles back. (Main love interest is typically Gilbert, but she's been known to kiss Aurora briefly and Lucien against her will but not really against it).
WESTPHALLS
Brooke Westphall — Kaleb's older cousin, who is the only one still in contact with him when he mysteriously goes missing in New Orleans. It doesn't take much for her to jump to conclusions of him being killed by vampires for her to fly down, only to find out things are much, much worse. (Main love interest happens to be a hybrid OC of mine, usually in Delilah's stories, but canon wise she spends a fair bit of time falling in love with the ghost of Sophie Deveraux).
O'CONNELLS:
Rarity O'Connell — She's Kieran's daughter, for fun. She had a human mother who spent most of her life on and off the wagon, and got booted from her life after Rarity broke her arm trying to stop her mom from falling from a window in a drunken haze. She has no interest in the church, but she has a big interest in keeping Sean sane. So much so that it gets her into trouble (In my heart, she kisses Flora's Elias)
