Sign Up For Monthly Fan Character Is Now Live!

People seemed to like the idea of this feature, so it will officially begin on April 1! For now, go to the form above to submit your RW/YST fan character!

Characters will be selected by random.org at the beginning of each month, and a post will be made with all of the character's information and references.

Blog members can post or submit art of the Featured Fan Character all month long! These will be posted every Wednesday (so they don't get lost in Fanart Friday), and there will be links to previous fan character features to peruse as well.

Multiple submitted characters are allowed! However, please fill out an individual form for each one. Also, there is a one-month cooldown between features for each creator.

You don't have to contribute every month... but if you submit a character, we would like to see you contribute to other features now and again.

EMOTIONS / FEELINGS:

Fury, Paranoia, Disdain, Curiosity, Ego

GREETINGS:

Silent nod, Clipped wave, smug grin; a fanged grin, if she actually likes you

COLORS:

Red, Black, Gold, White

SCENTS:

Campfire smoke; Handmade, perfumed oil (Spiced and earthy/citrusy); salty sea air; leather; a freshly-cooked, savory meal

CLOTHING:

Suits, Leather/biker wear, Eastern attire, casual/modern/punk wear

OBJECTS:

Knives, lots of piercings, tail bangle (with a soul stone in it!)

VICES & BAD HABITS:

Alcoholism - For now, she's keeping this bad habit at bay

Drugs - For now, she's keeping this bad habit at bay (save for maybe a little moko now and then)

EMOTIONS / FEELINGS: Quiet longing, cynical but searching for a reason not to be, barely hidden disdain for other nobility, personal pride, romantic inclinations she’d never admit to  

GREETINGS: Calculating eyes acknowledging your presence a heartbeat before she simply nods her head once, gives you the barest hint of a smile, and says, “You’re here.”

COLORS: White, Dark Green, Red

SCENTS: Amber and rose, incense, the bitter cold

CLOTHING: Fitted dresses that cinch at the waist but show very little skin, elegant but simple boots and gloves, a beautiful, well-worn, ivory ring that she wears to every duel, beautiful hair combs in her fastidiously straightened hair when she goes to fancy events and balls-- ribbons in her hair when she allows it to curl at home, long wool jackets with big buttons

OBJECTS: Very well-cared for rapier, ivory duelist ring, a very nice pocketwatch with her initials carved into it, expensive parchment, quills, and ink

VICES & BAD HABITS: Stubbornness, quick to anger/quick to fluster, never backs down from a challenge even when she should, for being so disdainful of her family she spends just as much money as they do on trinkets, momentary thrills, and exceedingly expensive wines.

BODY LANGUAGE: Chin held high, calculating gaze, downturned mouth that’s not quite a frown but certainly isn’t a smile, shoulders back with perfect posture, heavy sighs in crowded places

AESTHETIC: Light filtering through dirty stained glass windows onto an ancient cathedral floor, lace dresses with long sleeves, dark rooms lit by many candles, icicles hanging from ancient buildings-- looking as though they want to escape but frozen in place.
