Grace will be forever known as the hero who saved Earth. as the best of the best. he will likely be honoured and taught about as the hero. not only for his time on the Hail Mary but also thanks to his work on Earth and initial research with the Astrophage, which he named.
Stratt will fade. she might be mentioned in passing as the person who controlled Project Hail Mary. but her name is stained by the wrongs she did and she will be forgotten. likely on purpose.
i think Stratt will be purposefully forgotten. if mentioned, she will be painted as a cold hearted woman. credit that should go to her will likely go to the men in charge. some of it would likely even go to Grace. this is both because of sexism but also because of everything she’s done. blowing up Antartica, paving the Sahara desert, sending Grace off to space. she will never be remembered in history the way that she deserves to be.
Eva Stratt did everything to save a planet that likely will want her to rot. she knew that. but her love for the world meant that she did not care, she would accept that fate.
also before anyone tries to come at me - i know that Eva Stratt is not the perfect person. she had flaws. she should not have Grace on the mission when he did not want to go.
but that doesn’t change that she did what she needed to do. Grace was a brilliant scientist who worked with Astrophage from day one. there was nobody better to send up with Project Hail Mary.
Eva Stratt was put into the hardest position that one could be put into. the Trolley Problem. and she chose to sacrifice one life that was dear to her over the billions people of Earth. she did everything that she could to save millions of families, of people in love, of children, of elders, of the worlds cultures, of people who work everyday to live and who love to live and love to love. she did what she needed to do.
in the end - Eva Stratt is the most loving person that she was allowed to be. and with that love, she chose to save everybody.
and she will likely be forgotten because of her love.

hi i dont know anything about anything but what i do know is that i like the walking dead
here are animals that ftwd characters remind me of because awww cute
i only just started s3 but i’m starting with troy because liek oh my god look that’s the same picture ? he is the reason im making this, that is actually him.
now in no way am i an expert on sheep, or any animal, but this was definitely decided with personality in mind !! troy often reminds me of a ram in the way he’s assertive and territorial, plus his aggression reminds me of the way adult male sheep will ram into one another, which can last a long time due to endurance and their stubborn tendencies. another factor is how rams can be considered dangerous because of their violent outbursts and size/strength.
i also really love how troy is the ‘black sheep’ in many social situations because of his violence and just overall weirdness. it is confirmed that troy did not fit in with others, thus why he had to be pulled out of school when he was young. i also really like how the otto’s reason that it was due to his behavioral issues and violence, whereas troy felt he did not fit in with other kids and had a hard time relating and interacting with others. i love seeing both perspectives, esp. bc jake and jeremiah were older and concerned about troy’s anger, while troy, being young, did not see the situation as his family did.
bonus oh my god. spot the difference. got you, trick question, there is none. look at him awwwww that’s him.
alicia reminds me of a hare appearance wise, and i feel like her personality and habits also match hares except for the fact that hares prefer solitude rather than sticking with groups of their species. this clashes with alicia pretty significantly because she clearly cares very much for her family and they are obviously a big priority for her. i do think that metaphorically this could work considering how alicia often feels like a glass child (i believe im using that term right?) compared to nick, and she is usually overlooked by her mother (and i think others although i can’t name anyone off the top of my head) because everyone just assumes she is doing okay and can take care of herself, which has caused alicia to grow independent, especially growing up with her depressed father and nick’s substance abuse + emotional problems.
i specifically chose a hare for alicia rather than a rabbit because rabbits often symbolize innocence and i find alicia to be a good portrayal of someone being a good and kind person while still being strong and unafraid to defend herself or her family. i sort of like how the opposite idea works for nick, he is brave but he is also cautious and a runner, rather than fighting he often escapes or talks his way out of danger. idk tho, that’s more of a concept than anything really thought out. another trait of rabbits i have heard of is that they thrive on routine !! in the apocalypse, there is not much routine. alicia is shown to be good at moving from place to place as far as i have seen, she has no problem picking up and leaving when the time comes, whether it is for safety or to stick with family/friends.
i think alicia could also work as a deer if we’re going off looks, however i don’t like using deer because i feel like people often compare any old character to a deer. i get it, they’re really great animals, but goddamn, there are so many other ones that are cooler and can be more specific to characters personalities and looks !!!!
am i crazy for saying kangaroo? this one was tricky, i havent fully grasped madison’s character so i am sticking with the motherhood thing. also, this may not be well-written as i do not know much about kangaroos ! sheep and hare happen to be animals i have some sort of prior knowledge on so i was able to associate them with their given characters easier than i was able to think of one for madison :( i will say, i did not choose kangaroos solely because of motherhood, i actually forgot about the whole kangaroo-mom trope lol. if i’m being honest, i did look up animals that are often strong mothers, but when i saw kangaroos on the list i was reminded of how they can be unexpectedly aggressive.
something i learned from my research (as in a quick scroll through google and an article or two) is that although some kangaroos can be shy and cautious, others are more bold and curious. it is pretty clear that madison is cautious, even in the scenes that take place prior to the apocalypse. kangaroos can also be social and communicative, we see madison talk her way both in and out of trouble, doing the same for other people. kangaroos also reject rigid routine, which i spoke about a second ago in alicia’s section !! there is also a hierarchal structure to kangaroos, older animals are seen as protectors and teachers to younger generations, and they do not like when they or their families/mob is threatened, causing them to show aggression and not hesitate to attack others.
anyway i can’t include any more pictures and honestly i can’t think of any more past troy and alicia so uh. give suggestions i guess because im curious about other people’s interpretations !! :p
big ass mozepost because she is me and murderised is also part of my standard vocabulary
okay so something i really like about the bl3 vault hunters is how theyre subversions of classic character archetypes. amara is a monk, but rather than being humble and calm and pacifist shes a bloodthirsty diva. fl4k is a beastmaster, but rather than being one with the wilds and/or very empathetic towards nature theyre a robot and all their pets are equipped with cybernetics, and they view most animals as prey. zane is a mix of james bond and john wick (literally, according to an official promo article from before the games release those two were his direct inspirations and yeah i can see it) but rather than being a suave british charmer or a coolheaded badass killer hes an irish maniac and absolutely pathetic (though not unsuccesful) with any woman he meets.
Moze is, obviously, the soldier. like thats very clear from her appearance, she is the soldier vault hunter like axton and roland and wilhelm before her. she plays into that with her aesthetic and her dialogue, using lots of military slang, speaking to mission givers like theyre commanding officers, and singing marching songs when idle. even her gameplay resembles military action heroes, with all the explosions and unlimited ammo (her 'spray and spray' playstyle as i like to call it. you dont need to pray when your bullets outnumber your enemies' hitpoints). there are some obvious ways she subverts this role, such as her being a woman of colour rather than a macho white man, her being queer (though thats very subtle), her deserting vladof rather than being loyal and dutiful to the flag, etc. but imo the most interesting thing moze does with the soldier archetype is the way she combines it with that of a gamer.
fps games have a habit of creating military narratives and pushing militaristic ideals. like theres a very long history between the military and video games (specifically fps games) and their use as tools for military propoganda. moze is a caricature of what you get when you teach possible recruits to view war as a game (thats what my thesis was about). almost all her military speech vanishes during combat, instead she talks about kill streaks, multi-kills, and calls people scrub a lot. like a lot a lot. her action skill lets her pilot iron bear, and iron bear literally digitalises the battlefield for her. he has no windows in his armour, what moze sees in the cockpit is a livestream from his external cameras. while outside of combat she carries herself with some semblance of military professionalism, during combat she is completely unhinged.
and i honestly love that.
zane, fl4k, and amara have a clear continuous behaviour in and out of combat, they just get pumped up by the adrenaline imo. zane remains a jokester, fl4k keeps talking about his pets and devotion to Death, and amara remains a diva eager to test her strength. with moze its like she uses her military etiquette as a fallback when talking to people she isnt comfortable with, like strangers or people she sees as outranking her. i headcanon that when she gets flustered she starts calling people sir and ma'am. when shes with friends, like her fellow vault hunters or iron bear, she can relax a little, but its when shes fighting that she can really just let herself go. the gamer slang makes very little appearance outside of combat, while military slang during combat is almost exclusively triggered when moze or an ally is downed or dies. Moze does not view battle as a military operation, she views it as a game and one she enjoys immensely. a competitive game to be specific, because she calls her enemies scrubs and tells them to get good, they are players too in her eyes. it is funny to imagine this triggerhappy killing machine as a socially awkward disaster lesbian who uses military etiquette as a guidebook for human interactions. also when you point out a loot chest she will sometimes say 'chest spotted' and then do a gay ass goblin laugh. marissa lenti's voice acting gives me life.
and i didnt even mention her dialogue during the psycho krieg dlc, its so good moze really gets into that psycho brain and is like fuck it we ball and then she balls so hard she might as well be cast in space jam. i also like her relationship with iron bear, how hes like her trusted friend and closest family and safest space. i want a mech armed with nuclear warheads.
moze is so cool eh kills cov and doesnt afraid of anything
