Was Yato in a way present when Yukine died?
So at this point I am truly sold on the Tsukuyomi theory. If you donât know what it is a quick summary is that Yato in reality is the Moon god and he is not aware of it. Adachitoka hasnât really been subtle with it either as we can find Yato and moon symbolisms throughout the manga. As I was going through the latest chapters of the manga I noticed something that I had to share. If anybody has mentioned this before I apologize.
What I noticed as I was reading the chapters again this scene from episode 73 really stood out.
The images are in order as they appear in the chapter. In the first image we can see the not so subtle hint at the moon.
While on the second image when Yukine is asked about his dreams he responds âThey were kind of scary, but if I looked harder you were thereâ and on the image of Yukineâs father we can appreciate the moon behind him. This can also be interpreted another way since we see the image of Yato when he rescued Yukine after he fell down the stairs but the hint itâs like a mentioned before not so subtle. Also on the next image of chapter 80-2
we can clearly appreciate the moon in a more not so blurry image. If Yato is indeed Tsukuyomi itâs truly sad to think that Yato was in a way there when he died and that it was probably one of the last things Yukine saw before he was killed.
