if something Mikey cares about is destroyed the boy snaps so yeah it was a toy but he’s a little kid and obviously held it to great importance. To say that Senju is lying or holding back a secret (like Hakkai in the BD arc) doesn’t make any sense for her character. It’s to reenforce the Valhalla arc and that fact that Baji 1. Protected Mikey’s bike bc he saw what happened with the model plane 2. killed himself to protect Kazutora because he knew what Mikey was capable of.

There’s obviously either more to Mikey’s backstory that causes his dark impulses OR he’s been the villain all along and Takemichi will be forced to accept that. It’s possible the more Takemichi goes into the past the more the timelines will start to revert back to how they were supposed to play out aka Draken’s death in the first and now final arcs.
