Just for a quick one since yesterday jogged my memory. We've mentioned the idea Izo's trying to talk down Ace in Marineford then Kiku successfully does it at the start of Wano. Even how through Act 1 you have a little subtheme of Kiku & Law being a bit like the classic angel/devil on either shoulder for Luffy. How they frame him for the big promise to Tama.
So yeah, before Act 1 ends Law also fails to get through to Luffy in a more heated moment that's a little more reminiscent of Ace. Kiku's going to cover for this blunder luckily, but it's just another one of the little ways the two play off of each other early Wano.

You know what really scares me about Kaido one-shotting Luffy? He used some kind of electric attack. A single ELECTRIC attack took out Luffy. I’m sure there’s more to it than that but that’s still terrifying.
I hope Luffy gets put in the same jail cell as eustass or something so we can get some more of the angery tulip in the manga 🌷 💘

Curse me for not reviewing One Piece Chapter 923. All I can say is talk about intensity. I would joke that One Piece got cancelled, because well, look at the ending. I can’t wait for next chapter and yes, I will review that one. Still, this chapter was a hell of a way to address why Kaido isn’t one to mess with at all.
