- (not that checking stuff yourself is bad. It’s good advice in pretty every situation. What I’m criticizing is that they just don’t do recon and walk into everything totally blind. And a historian should take sources from everywhere they can. They could die, for god’s sake, the more records the better, even if they’re not fully correct, at least it’s a starting point)
