I laughed at this when I read it. I laughed again hearing it. Animal rights!
Episode 52, Chapter 153: Underground Fight Club
DRUM ZOSOPP YOU ARE SO IMPORTANT TO ME
If opla gives me just a pinch of all the things I think they could do with them in this arc (same with zosan in Little Garden), you will never hear the end of it because I will never shut up.
Life is beautiful actually

Let's talk a little bit about this scene:
Let's clarify a little bit. A lot of times this scene gets referenced in a lot of support for Inuyasha still loving Kikyo and 'two-timing' Kikyo.
Let's look past the whole bit where this teenager is still struggling with seeing someone whom he loved at one point announcing that she's going after the man that murdered her alone. And that said murderer still has creepy stalker feelings for her is something else to be concerned about. Think about it, wouldn't you feel sick if someone you realized was attacked / murdered said "oh yeah, the guy who assaulted me and you still has feelings for me and wants to assault me again." Yeah, you'd feel pretty upset about that little tidbit as well.
But the initial context of her stating that Inuyasha's life is hers isn't romantic.
Her initial comment is that he can't get himself killed because she's the only one who's allowed to kill him. Weird way to express love for someone, right?
So Inuyasha's comment here isn't a declaration of love, but a declaration that if he can't die in the fight for Naraku, then she can't either. He wants her to live and wanting someone to not die does not equate to love.
He cares about Kikyo as someone who used to love her. But he doesn't make a declaration of love, he makes an intent to keep her alive.
"Don't do something dumb and die" is not a new quirky way to say "I love you unconditionally."
