Sometimes I see stuff that pairs Naraku and Kikyo together, and people attempt to justify it with the line that 'they deserve each other'.
So let me get this straight: you think that a victimized teenage girl, who thought that the man whom she loved betrayed and killed her, deserves to be paired with the man who lusted after and literally killed her?
Onigumo was never a threat because he was immobile and literally dying. Kikyo knew that he wouldn't recover, but she was being kind so that his last days weren't miserable.
And what does this jackhole do? Literally feeds his soul to demons and promptly kills her and the guy he was jealous of, because she wouldn't return Onigumo's affections. Because if Onigumo can't have her, then no one can. Wow, that sounds an awful lot like consent on Kikyo's part, doesn't it?
And let me say it louder for the people in the back: KIKYO WAS A FUCKING TEENAGE GIRL. Have you met teenagers? They're the least rational creatures on the face of the earth. I have seen female friendships rise, crumble, go scorched earth, and then be besties again in less than a week.
You're telling me that a teenage girl that felt betrayed by her fiance, was resurrected, found out that her reincarnation took over her literal job and was with her fiance, and you want her to be rational? Would you be rational?
I'm not a fan of Kikyo or InuKik, but hot-damn people who ship her with the man who probably would've done literal war crimes against her had he any mobility piss me off. Let the girl fucking rest in some fucking peace.
