One update scheduled and halfway done with SimNaNoWriMo! Time to start the next chapter before my school starts up!

He and Valarie had a history - brief, but still there. She put on a good show and her laugh was soft. This quickly put her several miles ahead of many other girls he had ever encountered before. Up until recently, he would’ve considered her one of the best he’d ever been with; a lot of that was due to the lack of strings attached and the fact that her laugh didn’t unnerve him. Now, though? He wasn’t sure why but the usual feelings he had when visiting Valarie just weren’t there. 

Eren’s going to be restless. He always is when something shifts between us. And after the way Erwin looked at Vale—

There’s a real chance I get him alone.

Just him and me. For the first time.

The thought lands lower than I expect. Quiet. Certain. It settles in my chest, sharp and undeniable.

I want that. I want him first.

Before Erwin even considers touching him.
