'Don't give me that crap, your boy robbed a lone woman. I mean, ugh - I know even know your name-'

On the last night of winter, she began her nightly routine as she usually would - with a shower.

A familiar voice echoed in the silence:

'So, what's new sis? You know, apart from being a wife and mum now.'

'Ha, it's weird isn't it? Just getting back into the swing of work now the funs over, those perps are still out there so.'

'Oh yeah, I saw your statement in the autumn issue. Scary stuff!'

'Show her the picture you have, babe.' Vinnie laughed 'Whoever broke Keenan out wasn't smart enough to avoid the cameras.'

'Good idea. Here, Val, take a look at this.'

Vi slid a slightly grainy, printed picture across the table to her. Val didn't think much of it at first, it was just a picture of two men running after all. But on closer inspection she could've sworn she recognised the clothes the second figure was wearing... and the hair, that handsome slick back hair...

'Oh my watcher!-'

'Haha, right?! Those idiots are practically begging to be caught.'

'-are you alright, Val?' Vi cut in.

'Oh, uh yeah! Just.. scared?'

'Don't worry, sis. Vi will get them, and soon too.'

Season 4 - Winter Irving Household

The firehouse feels lonely since Vinnie moved in with Vi. The silence gives Val all the time in the world to think about the mystery man she fell for last season, and why she hasn't spoken to him since.

'Do you want to stay the night, Vin? You know, just so - you can bond, with him.'

'I would love that, thanks Vi.'
