Wait a dang minute. I was just reflecting on N2N, as I often do, and came to a quite heartbreaking realization. In the original Broadway production, Gabe died at 18 months old. In the UK version, he died at 8 months old, cause the creators/writers /whoever realized that if he had died at 18 months, Nat would be a lot younger than 16. So, in the original, when we have the birthday cake scene, it would be somewhat reasonable for Diana to recall a memory like that, of Gabe’s first birthday, bringing him a cake & she & Dan celebrating with their family and friends. But, in the UK/updated version, Gabe never got a first birthday. That was the first time Di baked a cake for her son for his birthday. Seventeen years and four months after he died, was the first time Diana celebrated his birthday with a cake.

Anyway that destroyed me. 😌☺️😁
