So many people asked for this one!

I love this song, so I wish I had a more coherent answer.

I’m gonna put on my shipper hat and give this one to Renji/Rukia. I can see this being from Rukia’s POV, as she tries to cope with the absence of their relationship during that 40yr separation.

🥲 Out in the Rukongai, I think Rukia and Renji probably saw each other as equals, but once entering the Academy that changed when Renji was placed in the advanced class.

Even after graduating from the Academy, Renji was able to join the Gotei 13 and became seated, while Rukia remained unseated. As an outsider/stranger, Rukia probably thought that Renji was thriving! I know our reader perspective is skewed because all our mains are completely over-powered, but in the scheme of things, any seated officer in a division is pretty strong! I mean, think of all those canon fodder shinigami that always die in any given invasion (lol rip) that don’t even have shikai… So while Renji was busy convincing himself he wasn’t good enough for Rukia, she was probably thinking the same thing… aaahhhh it’s a good thing they found each other again.

Your girl will be having her last birthday on June 2nd. Staying 29 forever, bitches. I haven’t really been gifing this year and in addition to staying 29 forever, I will be attempting to be creative again. And I need all my lovely followers help with that.

HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN (2/31): THE MIST (2007)

“No, no, no. You forgot our anniversary, it’s okay, it happens!”

Jane was trying her best to not sound upset, but her eyes were filled with tears and her voice broke at times.

“Jane, please listen to me.”

She shook her head, trying to fight back the tears, and assured him once more it was okay. He sighed, took her hand, and started guiding her through their house. She followed, silent for once, wondering what was happening. Finally, Rafael stopped in front of the door leading to their garden.

“I love you, so much.”

He kissed her forehead, then opened the door. Jane couldn’t believe her eyes. Their garden looked like something out of a movie. Lights, in every tree, gave the evening a soft glow, and a path made of rose petals led to a table covered in a beautiful tablecoth. On top of it were sitting a few candles, as well as a neatly wrapped present.

“Raf, did you do all this? It’s so beautiful... I’m so sorr-”

He cut her off by kissing her softly, then took her hand once more to guide her to the table sitting in the middle of their garden. He took the present and put it in her hands.

“Happy 3 year wedding anniversary.”

He smiled, and she smiled back. Her eyes in his, she forgot about everything for a second. Eventually, she remembered where they were and started unwrapping. When she was done, she still wasn’t sure exactly what the gift was. She had some sort of manuscrit in her hands.

“- Raf... what is this?

- It’s every draft you’ve ever sent me. I know most of them never made it into an actual book or story, and you hate some of them, but I’ve always been proud of your writing, and it’s such a big part of you and your life. I wanted to celebrate it. All of it.”

Jane stayed quiet for a few seconds, her eyes filling with tears again, but in a good way this time. She put the pages down, and flung her arms into Rafael, bringing him into a passionate, telenova kiss only they had the secret of.

“Thank you so much.”
