I don't think there's been a single Hokage, ie Flane Shadow, whose chakra nature was fire. Hashirama was wood/earth and water, Tobirama was water, Minato was wind, Kakashi is lightning, and Naruto is wind. Tsunade and Hiruzen don't have any listed affinity, but since Minato and Naruto have the same chakra nature there's a high chance Tsunade was water or earth and Hiruzen was wind.
I don't really have a point to make, I just think it's weird when most other Kage have chakra natures or specific techniques that align with their country's name
Does a person parent affect their chakra nature, in the 4th datebook both Kushina and Minato are said use Wind Release (unknown if it was an affinity or not) and Naruto has a Wind Release Affinity
Thereโs no mention of parentsโ chakra nature affecting their childโs, so thereโs no way to say for sure. Of course, there is some evidence pointing to it, such as what you pointed out, but there is nothing blatantly stating it to be truth.
What we do know is that chakra nature affinities are more common in their respective elemental nation (e.g. water affinity is more common in Water Country, etc.). The reasoning behind this could be many, one of which could indeed be genetics.
It all comes down to how you yourself would want to explain how chakra nature and affinities are obtained in the universe.
