If you go back and look at this entire sequence of pages, Dadan is always presented as bigger and more imposing than Garp. She's right and they both know it, and in a reversal of their power dynamic all those years ago when the boys were foisted on her against her will, Garp has been made small while she towers over him, physically and morally.

This in general is a beautiful panel and memorial, but I can't help but think that Whitebeard's coat is in amazing condition for a man who got stabbed as many times as he did

It's quite telling that Garp doesn't have an answer for Dadan even as he lets her whale on him. I don't think Dadan's strong enough to kill Garp even when he's not defending himself, but she's pissed enough to try, and he was going to let her

Mihawk in just a regular t-shirt is kind of cursed

I know this is a serious moment, but the segue of Jinbe going from sentimental flashback memory of Ace to Luffy straight-up biting him made me laugh

And like in Arlong Park when Luffy was pretty content to leave Nami alone until the point she started stabbing herself, Jinbe's is going to do let Luffy do what he wants/needs to in order to calm down (in this case try and fight him) but draws the line at letting Luffy hurt himself.

It's interesting that Shanks wants Luffy to cry in comparison to Roger not allowing himself to do the same. It's just another way Ace was like his dad, I suppose
