This is one of my favorite random panels of the entire arc. Not because it's the most bombastic or technically impressive, but there's something about the bird-shaped blur stopping a giant laser beam in its tracks that makes me happy

i fucking love doppio and this cute little scene but the hewwo threw me off like an untamed horse
Whitebeard has got an underrated trash talk game. You know he got so much enrichment from insulting all the admirals while trying to save Ace
I wanted so desperately for her to do something cool during the war, but alas, she was reduced to being an old lady with laundry powers

It is incredible that out of all the people to have a marine jacket that's not white Oda decided to give it to Vice Admiral Doberman, a man of minimal importance who exists only to have a non-standard uniform and give exposition about Rob Lucci's backstory
Marineford is a visual tour de force, but I do want to point out how Oda integrates these feats of strength into the plot of the arc. Aokiji freezing the bay has a myriad of consequences, intentional and not, for how the actual war plays out. Both sides came in with a plan, but huge chunks of that plan get thrown out the window in the first five minutes because Aokiji decided to stop a tidal wave with his power.
It also solves the immediate problem of how to get characters out of their boats and onto land. For a series setting that's 90% water Oda doesn't really do ship to ship combat, so by freezing the bay it lets the characters to immediately jump into action.
One Piece always has a ridiculous mouth to face ratio, but there's something about Doffy that makes him look extra psycho when he's laughing like this
