"The parallels argument is full of shit and I'll tell you why. NarSak has the penchant for screaming parallels but then only looking at how it suits their pairing and only from the man's perspective."
ch1p:
Look at the girls' club:
Tsunade's failure was losing against death and losing Dan. She loves him even now, decades after he has died, regardless of everything.
Konan's failure was not being able to protect herself and Yahiko having to die for her.
Rin's failure was only managing to protect Kakashi (and the village) by killing herself. She loved him to the very end.
Sakura's wish is to protect Sasuke. You can guess she'll join the fail group if he dies.
In all instances, the girls' love is never put into question, never said 'omg move on girl, there's better things to do with your life' (in fact, Sakura and feelings change is equalised to a depreciative Japanese proverb). It's always about 'you lost him, now you angst your entire life'. Not 'you should move on with your life and find another man'.
Typical NaruSaku arguments: organized by ch1p
Sakura is clueless / confused about her love for Naruto.
Sakura is clueless / confused / immature about her crush for Sasuke.
If Sakura keeps loving Sasuke, her character development will go to waste.
If Sakura keeps loving Sasuke, she is an abused housewife in the making.
Hinata is clueless about Naruto's love for Sakura.
Hinata is a home-wrecker because she does know and doesn't give a fuck.
Hinata is immature about her crush for Naruto.
Hinata is self-centered about Naruto.
Naruto is 100% stubborn and won't move on from Sakura.
Sasuke cannot be redeemed after all the shit he has done, and as such Sakura's feeling are unwarranted.
Sasuke is secretely evil and will always be evil.
[Insert misuse of character parallelism here]
I'm not saying we have to disagree with these. What I mean is, notice that in all cases, a character gets diminished in some way. NaruSaku = diminishing and weak everywhere.
So, Naruto=Kushina & Sakura=Kushina... the inevitable conclusion!
LesExit:
....and this is exactly why I don't understand how people use MinaKushi to support NaruSaku. Naruto looks like his father, but he is like his mother. A KushiKushi parallel would work better...if only it existed

Remember when one of the bigger pro-NS/anti-SS arguments involved "Naruto would show full support in her abilities whereas Sasuke wouldn't let her do shit"?
Naruto: "Thanks for healing me, Sakura-chan. Now it's your turn to rest up. Let's go Sasuke!"
ch1p:
Let that sink for a minute.
Then remember all those times NarSak has bashed Sakura for loving Sasuke because according to the zombie, if they ended up together she'd be robbed of her potential and be put on fodder duty.
Now laugh.
When it comes to the hug in Chapter 450...
ch1p:
NS dismisses the thematic of the chapter (village accepting him), which gets confirmed at the Falls of Truth [Ch 493-495] no less.
NS dismisses that Sakura's hug is nothing like what she used to hug Sasuke with [i.e. Ch 56 & 172].
NS dismisses that Naruto doesn't reciprocate.
NS dismisses that Hinata loves Naruto [spelled out in 437] and is completely and utterly okay with Sakura hugging him, and even takes a pro-stance to get Naruto later on.
All four points indicate the true nature of that hug and establish it isn't romantic. NS likes to say "underneath the underneath" but it's more like delusion.
ch1p:
You guys are so silly, overreacting. Hinata holding Naruto's hand is not all that. Remember that Shikamaru too held held Naruto's hand. Soon, Kishi will unveil the alternate cover which will feature Shikamaru and you're gonna get trolled...
(Edit: Please note that the quote & image of the originator above was made in sarcasm and the originator isn't against NaruHina)
If Kishimoto took the whole "NH hand-holding moment equals only sharing chakra", then we would've most likely seen something like this.
