A naruto forums prayer
Lord, Please just let the chapter come out soon so that we can stop the madness. Or let confirmed spoiler scans show up so that the evilness of evil will forever more be put to an end. Let there be peace in the forums and on tumblr, and may the pairing wars be stopped and a truce be made. Let the end of naruto be a peaceful end... Unlike the last time it ended.... Lord pls. Ok, but can we talk about the hilarious way that chapter 699 literally spit in the face of that infamous OVA? I mean: 1) Same exact scenario as in the OVA (with Kakashi and Sakura arriving at the scene after the end of Sasuke and Naruto's fight)... except that OOOPS, Naruto didn't actually fail at his goal like a loser, but managed to make Sasuke STAY. 2) Sakura crouching over BOTH of her boys - and not giving all of her attention to Naruto without even worrying about where the hell Sasuke slinked off to, like in the OVA. 3) Sakura healing BOTH of her boys AT THE SAME TIME - like the caring, wonderful person that she is - without fillerish thoughts about 'who she should heal first' (bleargh). 4) Sakura crying exactly like in the infamous OVA - except that instead of being moved to tears by Naruto's 'revival' and calming words, she is moved to tears by her happiness at Sasuke's gentle 'sorry' and by his return to his old self. Both Sasuke and Naruto smile at her and to add salt to the wound, Naruto sees his friends' little moment and is happy for them. 5) Let me reiterate: SAKURA CRYING OVER SASUKE'S SUPINE FORM AND HIS WORDS GIVING HER RELIEF (with happy Kakashi in the background, even). Exactly like her scene with Naruto in the OVA. And thus, exactly like the SasuSaku scene from the Wave Country arc that the OVA shamelessly copied for its NaruSaku fantasies. Which basically means that SasuSaku got TWO scenes like that in the manga... while Kishi ruthlessly passed by the chance to give NaruSaku one when Naruto woke up after his 'death'. It's like Kishi went 'Ok, guys, let me show you how this shit is ACTUALLY supposed to go down'. XD
