Nick and the other "Pomeranians" get to eat sweets every day and are treated like nobles, but they are stuck indoors most of the time. That last part is more like our earl than real Ciel, because our earl was the sickly one who stared out the window at real Ciel and Lizzie, just like Nick now stares out the window at those "Corgis".

These kids are being forced to conform to the roles they've been given, based entirely on those aptitude test results... which have more to do with blood typing and personality charts than the answers they give to the written test. Though the written test probably helps to support the personality chart stuff.
besides the obvious that happens in this chapter, this is such an understated example of their dynamic. kyouko going “yuii” whenever she needs something and yui caring for her (like the mom friend she is)

Rambling about Fairies - Manga Chapter 131
Wish she kept this hairstyle. It gives her a bit more of an evil-vibe that no longer fits after her redemption, but it’s distinctive. She’s one of the many characters whose design just blends in with the rest of the straight-haired sameface girls after this arc, and that saddens me.
Her design for Tenrou is cleaner in the anime, but I do love the amount of excessive detail you can find in the manga. There’s just a very clear passion in all of them that we start to lose as the story goes on.
I also like the old designs with how Mashima used to tread the line of fanservice and design. This is unnecessarily skimpy, but just right compared to the leotards later on that I really hate. Ultear’s early aesthetic of semi-kimonos translate really well over, going from plain white and simple to match the Council, to this gaudy, dark, and fabulous mess because she’s finally in her true allegiance.
Wish she stayed like this.
