“And all I want to do is love you too.” He kissed her forehead. “If I could I would take you and Melody with me but-” He paused. “I don’t want you to get hurt.” 

He heard Grimsy calling out to him. 

“I have to go-” He whispered. “Stay safe okay.” 

“Tell that to the fucking judge.” Eric said as he attempted to arrest the other. He had to settle for tackling the other. “You’re a slippery punk you know that.” He saw the pretty man smirk. Eric rolled his eyes. “That shit doesn’t work on me.”  He opened the car door. “Get in the car.”

Eric staring in disbelief. Yes his wife was a mermaid. Yes he knows of sirens and sometimes wolves that come to marna. But whatever he was seeing was nothing he ever seen before. But his purpose wasn’t to fight. His purpose was to get him and as many people out of their safely. There was a tense look on his face. 

“We need to gather everyone we can out of here-we don’t know what these creatures are capable of.” 

Eric turned to the person beside him, quickly patting the tears in his eyes.  “That was the most beautiful ceremony I have seen in a long time.” Eric replied with a smile. There was a twinkle in his eyes. “Don’t you agree?”

Eric took a deep breath of the air. He wished the ceremony could be outdoors. The smiled at the traquility, in a matter of minutes, he had to go inside. But his eyes was surprised when he saw the face. There was a brief look of surprise. He met the other’s eyes. 

“You look familiar?” He said. “Have we met before?” 

Eric was in the main hall, he was sneaking off to the bathroom. He was breaking some rules as he entered but he just needed some space. He couldn’t imagine how Arthur was feeling, he was just wanted to be free. He was surprised as he pbumped into the other. 

“Oh sorry I have-” His eyes widened. “Wow ou are really dressed to the nines.” 

If Eric made one woeful decision before the ceremony, it would drinking as much as he did. Now his bladder very full, he needed to use the restroom. The problem was that he didn’t know where it was- or Grismy told him and he neglected to listen. Eric made face before he looked around frantically. 

“Where’s the bathroom?” Eric said aloud, hoping maybe someone would hear. 

Eric would have to stand corrected. He thought Anna was the only one he knew at the wedding. But there was Juliet. To Eric, Juliet was a friend, albeit a friend who got in over her head. Maybe it was his age or maybe his own beliefs- but he was slightly more levelheaded of the two. Eric sighed as he saw the girl hiding under the table. 

“You can come out-” He replied in his fatherly tone. “Just don’t hit your head.”
