As with all the other times I was bored, I thought of fic ideas that I decided to scream out into the void. Today's idea, courtesy of Ensemble Stars is...
THE FOSTER UNIT PROJECT!
Basically I thought it would be cool to see how the dynamics of different units would change if I added in another member from another group. So here's how the rules work:
Each unit gets the name of the unit they will be working with.
The unit then sends a representative to ask one member of the other unit to be "fostered" for a month.
The fostered idol then works with that unit until the Foster Live, where they perform together for the fans.
The fostered idol cannot talk with the rest of their normal unit for that month...for immersion and drama.
Once the first round of fostering is done, the fostered idol may choose a member from their foster unit to work with their group for the following month.
Yeah this is basically just an excuse for more characters interactions. Speaking of, here's how I split the groups up, as well as what the potential conflict could be.
fine fosters Tsumugi. It's mostly him and Eichi trying to make sure to put on the best performance for the other but their good deeds kinda blow up in their faces. Divorced couple vibes are at their peak.
Trickstar fosters Jun. I imagine he is mostly getting used to how chill things are compared to Eden. Also he's thanking God for the ability to be in the same agency as Tatsumi.
Ryuseitai fosters Madara...look it will be painful but Ryusei Purple will be worth it. Mostly Madara being angsty about not being a hero until Kanata smacks in the name of friendship.
Alkaloid fosters Kohaku. The pink assassin is mostly feeling out of place and left behind by the way Alkaloid works, so he overthinks and overworks himself because he wants to put on a good performance with Aira.
Eden fosters Subaru. Mainly here because I want Subaru and Nagisa to act like siblings with Hiyori sliding in to be an older sibling. Story would be about Subaru not vibing with how things work in Eden and trying to do his own thing.
Valkyrie fosters Hajime because as much as I would love past Valk interactions I feel like Nazuna would freak being in the outfit again. Watch as Shu course corrects too much trying to not hurt Hajime like he hurt Nazuna.
2wink fosters Koga. They put Koga through prank hell only to reveal it was acrobatic lessons but in a way that can be considered rock and roll.
Crazy:B fosters Hiiro. He and Rinne fight over how things are supposed to run in a unit because Hiiro can't comprehend the groups lack of approach to practicing.
Undead foster Hinata. Honestly little to no problems other than how they want the song to sound. I just want Rei to interact with one of his adopted kids.
Rab*its fosters Mika. He's still awkward around Nazuna but he's mainly trying to figure out what makes him cute. Also I thought his Puffy Bunny fit was cute so he's a rabbit now.
Akatsuki fosters Tsukasa. I like the idea of Tsukasa learning about the moral codes of samurai during this.
Mellow Dear Us fosters Raika. I just want to watch the group lose it over how unpredictable Raika can be.
Knights fosters Souma. Just as Tsukasa wanted to learn more about samurai, Souma wants to learn about knights and chivalry.
Switch fosters Wataru. He and Natsume go back and forth trying to come up with new stage effects to make the show memorable. They only stop when Tsumugi holds a crying and lonely Sora to their faces.
MaM fosters Shinobu. Honestly I just wanted to see what would happen when you put a cowboy and a ninja onstage together...then I realized they might not know either so that's the story.
Special for Princess fosters Mashu. I like the idea that he helps them in the beginning but then kinda sort of takes over the whole project. Hijinks ensue.
