Headcanon: A Person By Another Name
The newest iteration of Death & Destruction wraps themselves in the trappings of Christianity. Though they did not always. Every religion in this plane of existence has a name for them. A designation that they once wore with pride. And if it calls for it they would do so again.
Those versions of themselves exist independently as needed but are simply facades of the one being.

Iterations fade with the changing of time and the number of devotees that still acknowledge them. Once they get to s certain point they are replaced and allowed to rest. Becoming faint memories of what once was.
