I don’t really focus on ch India since I’m more invested in ch Pakistan but I’ll give you one India headcannon for your soul

They used to be very close as kids (and by kids I mean under the Mughal empire)
India was the older of the two, the age gap being about 5 human years
India was incredibly protective of Pakistan when she was younger
Their bond began fracturing during their war for independence
The final straw was when, before leaving, the UK divided the two into new countries: Modern day Pakistan, and modern day India
From there, religious and ideological differences sprang up between the two, and the flames were only fanned by the people.
These two are prime examples of when both the personification and populace are enemies
India and their people hate Pakistan, and Pakistan and her people hate India
But, even through all the hate and animosity, both of them do look back to their happy times together. Even if they’d never admit it.
Neither of them are very keen to compromise or talk it out, however
As much as they hate to admit it, their cultures and food are incredibly similar, almost indistinguishable. Apart from the religious differences, of course.
Due to this, they do often feel alone without the other, but neither are keen to repair the relationship.
