After seeing the spoiler pages for 306, I’m torn. On one hand I’m sad to see Izuku leave All Might, Aizawa, and Class A, but on the other, I’m really glad to see him get away from Bakagou. And before the stans start throwing a hissy fit and saying that’s only because I don’t like Bakagou—that’s only part of it. But yes, I will admit that is a big reason.

I've said before; Bakagou is at his worse when he’s around Izuku. While Izuku may understand him the best, he doesn’t bring out the best in Bakagou. In turn, Bakagou may inspire Izuku to push further but that’s counteracted by Bakagou’s actions. He always feels a need to compete with Izuku and put him down when they’re together. Whatever Izuku is doing, if he gets praise for anything that Bakagou feels is giving Izuku a head up, he gets jealous and attacks.

I think the space between them would be good for BOTH of them.

Not having Izuku around to obsess over may convince Bakagou to get his head out of his ass get his act together.

Izuku, for his part, might be able to find some self-worth without certain people constantly putting him down while others do nothing.

Also, whenever they’re together the story tends to focus on Bakagou and his feelings, while Izuku gets pushed to the side. Now we may have a chance to focus on Izuku and his feelings and struggles. (I swear if Bakagou somehow sneaks along with him, I’m gonna scream.) Also, it’ll be interesting for Izuku to get some real-world experience and see a different perspective in a world falling apart.

I’m wondering.

So if Deku is no longer a student at UA, will his seat in Class 1-A be going to Shinsou?

Just wanted to pop in and say something in regards to Deku leaving UA and everyone:

Many have stated that he’s now like a vigilante (which don’t get me wrong is cool and I’m all for it) but he has a hero’s license, meaning he doesn’t have to worry about breaking that law about illegal quirk use. So he wouldn’t really be a vigilante by definition. He would be more like a rogue hero (with a positive connotation though). What I mean is that he’s “going rogue” or in other words “displaying some degree of independence or failing to follow an expected script” (Merriam Webster), while still holding the legal title of “Hero” and doing hero things.

Another question to think about is how Deku’s going to survive while he’s out and about? He left without anyway to track him (if we’re talking about surface level clues and not using the highly advanced tech of the bnha world), and he’s traveling in a now broken society that might not really trust or accept him because he is a hero. He’s also still a minor walking around with no guardian or the sort in a society that is much like ours (I myself couldn’t even imagine how I could survive in a situation like that). He basically “ran away from home” with no one to rely on but himself.
