jimbei, fighting who's-who in chapter 1018
My thoughts on the chapter
Jimbei really just called him unhip and racist

The Big Guy has spoken! Racism is so out of style these days!
Let's hope it can ring true in the real world!
Chapter 1018 - Jinbe vs. Who's Who
Cool chapter, learning new things! Overall a nice continuation of last week, with some more info about Who's Who.
But first, the most important ones.
I really enjoy Oda's background action. Usopp, running to catch up to Usopp, huffin' an' puffin'.
Not sure why Nami changed her mind from servant to partner, since Zeus seems OK with 'servant's as well. Maybe she was moved by the callous way Big Mom treated him and decided that she doesn't want to keep up with the mistreatment associatwd with having him as a servant?
And over to the Cat Cafe!
Oh, poor boy. You ded.
Beef with Shanks! Hope to hear.more about his exploits as well - speak to us, WW! Tell us all you know!
...about a random mythological creature? All right, interesting as well, but I wanted to know more about Shanks..
All these themes of laughter and sun and dawn are really coming together. How about something like this: there once was a giant force of good, who brought laughter and joy to the world. But in the Great Sundering 800 years ago, this power disappeared. However, there is a prophecy that states that a person will bring laughter into the new dawn of the world once the time is ripe.
And Jinbe, although stated and shown to be a tough one, really doesn't pull his punches.
That's got to hurt.
And the best panel from the whole chapter:
And again we get foreshadowing that doesn’t seem like foreshadowing at the time but ends up being really important in a few dozen chapters! And though Jinbe doesn’t say anything the connection that Who’s-Who makes between Nika being the Sun God and Jinbe’s old crew of liberated slaves being the Sun Pirates is, if nothing else, a rather interested coincidence.
