IC INFORMATION:Â
Name: Maki Nishikino Series: Love Live! School Idol Project Age: 15 Job: Student Background: Maki fell in love with music ever since she first heard it. To her, music was an escape to a magical world, where beautiful melodies and striking rhythms were all that existed. She was gifted in them and subjects languages and math. To her languages were involved in music, since lyrics played a key part in most songs. And math were numbers. Until she was 8, her experience with music was to associate certain notes with numbers, such as Re as 2, and So as 5. She grew to love numbers, since every single digit was associated to a particular note or pitch.    When she was 13, before starting grade 7, her father decided that she should go off to study in a place with no distractions. Her parents were both famous doctors living the high life, and expect Maki to do the same. Neither of them acknowledged her love for music, and told her to âDrop that nonsenseâ and focus on her academics.    In Magnolia Academy, she did her best and studied, always maintaining in one of the top 10 spots in her level. Though, she didnât care about those rankings at all, and always ran to the music room to play on the piano. In the first year of her arrival, she met a group of girls that taught her how it was alright for her to love music, and it encouraged her to go on and write songs, often performing for each other and themselves. They called themselves Muse, and they are a group of friends Maki had and loved that neither of her parents knew about. Personality: As much as Maki loves music, she doesnât share that fact with just anyone. Not even her parents know of her secret hobby. The few that knows about it are her eight close friends in âMuseâ, and even they know that Maki physically hates others finding out about her music. Even so, she is only able to converse with someone successfully when they are fully aware and support her love for music. She is usually very cold and straightforward, only sometimes taking in peopleâs feeling into consideration. Despite her cold behaviour to others, she actually enjoys company, and loves it when she has an audience for her music, despite her looking like she would kill anyone when they saw her in the music room. She has a hard time admitting her true feelings to others. She also has quite a bit of childish qualities, despite her coming off as mature, seeing how she still believes in Santa Claus. She usually requires pressure from others to do things, regardless of how enthusiastic she is for something. Writing Sample: She stared at the piano in front of her, sighing as she did so. She hates how much her parents neglect her passions, expecting her to drop everything she loves to study to be a doctor, and she hates it even more on how she listens to them. She remembers the first time her parents saw her on the piano. She didnât know what she did wrong. There was just that big black thingy in the corner, and if she pressed the tiny white thingies on it, a beautiful sound will come out of it, and every white thingy has a different sound. She sat on the chair in front of the black thing, and started to press the white things. She pressed them in different orders to make different sounds she heard before, like âTwinkle twinkle little starâ. It amazed her, and she kept playing and playing. She felt so happy, that was until her parents slapped her.    Now, she was alone in the music room in this new school, again. It has been a month since she came, and this music room became her small quiet sanctuary. She took out a folder containing all her music sheets, and placed a certain one in front of her. She stared at it, and smiled broadly. It was the first song she ever composed. She placed her hand on the keys, and in no time, found herself singing a song she titled âI love you, Cheers!â. She wrote that for her parents. Despite how they treat her, she knows that deep down, they care for her, and are only just looking out for her future. She played and sang, letting the music take over her mind and soul, only getting a rude jolt back into reality when the song ended, and the sound of someone clapping was heard by the young pianist.
