        In her defense, it was rather difficult for Tray to keep a straight face, or even keep a smile off her lips when she spent time near Emma. She kicked at the ground absently before she bit at her bottom lip, a shade of pink creeping into the apple’s of her cheeks for half a moment until she was able to bring her gaze up to look at the other woman. Tray cleared her throat, nodding to herself before she smiled and swayed a bit awkwardly. 

        “Hey, so... I was thinking... maybe later we could hang out, or something, order pizza and maybe watch a movie? I mean... if you want to.” The brunette didn’t want to be invasive, or overbearing, the worst thing she was afraid of doing was scaring Emma away, that was the last thing she wanted, in fact, what she really wanted was to slip her hand into the other’s and draw her in for a kiss, but she kept herself at a distance, knowing Emma was... uncertain, to put it gently. Tray just didn’t want to do anything wrong, a hand moved up and pushed her thick hair back away from her face, a slightly nervous action, but she didn’t drop her gaze which was hopeful and soft.

❝ I'm sorry. ❞ He offers weakly,           reaching out to the woman but stopping himself before he touched her. All he can be glad for is he hadn’t killed her, turned her, & that she seemed fine for the most part, just trying to stifle the bleeding from his bite.   The hitman watches anxiously,  uncertain & awkward.   How could you apologize for such a thing as biting someone, especially when they’d tried to help you?  That she hadn’t tried to scream or run away when she’d come to was surprising,    that she was even allowing him to linger so close was even more so.

&, what was it like,  finding out that vampires existed?   Kaey tried to remember how he’d felt when he had been turned,     but all he manages to dredge up is his fears & uncertainties of being a vampire,   alone,   trying to survive in a world he didn’t know or even understand.  But he couldn’t feel sorry for himself, not when he had harmed another person unintentionally, & didn’t even know what to do about it.

❝ You just-- ❞ He fumbles to find justification,  but he can’t find any words.  You just were there, & I could smell you, & I was so... hungry. I couldn’t help myself.  ❝ Most people don’t try to help. ❞  The native american finally manages. ❝ I appreciate that you... did, but... I’m sorry. I didn’t want to hurt you like that. ❞

“I-- I’m sorry I guess I’m not so good at this stuff sometimes...” Her eyes shy away, momentarily finding the floor as her cheeks heat. 

              he’s just praying his sleeves don’t roll down . asks himself why he bothers wearing white shirts ever , when he gets covered in blood up to his elbows like this so often .                he scrubs at the gore crusting over his skin , leaning against the rusting utility sink . it takes a while of silent scrubbing to get all of it off ,  &  then he’s washing his hands a third time before finally clearing his throat to speak up . shattering the state of focus he’d been immersed in not even a minute ago .   ‘   ‘m gonna go upstairs an’ make coffee or something . i’ll bring some down , if you want .   ’                since they had to wait for this guy to wake up , anyway . harper had no idea what time it was or how much time had passed , but thinking about it only made his chest feel heavier than it already did , so he doesn’t dwell . there was always some sort of discomfort that came with going down into this basement while the sun was still high in the sky , only to finally come back upstairs  &  find it gone .   (   there was nothing to mourn about the day , but he mourns regardless   ) .

        He hated this, having no control, being summoned always threw him off, not just mentally but physically as well. It didn't happen often but when it did Raydan always wanted to beat the shit out of whoever had done the summoning. Naturally, per the rules of his curse, he couldn't but that didn't stop him from mouthing off. "I just want you to know," he spoke in a slight pant, straightening his posture from the mildly hunched over position he had been in previously, gesturing with his left hand, "you're a piece of shit and what the fuck do you want?" Raydan glanced around, right hand on his bare abdomen, gazing searching for some unfortunate asshole he could potentially take his rage out on, maybe this time he wouldn`t be so lucky.
